Abstract

Integrating blockchain technology within the banking sector represents a pivotal transformation, promising enhanced security, transparency, and efficiency in financial operations. This qualitative research employs a systematic review approach to investigate the current state, challenges, and prospects of blockchain adoption in banking, drawing insights from a comprehensive analysis of scholarly literature. Through a systematic search and review of relevant academic journals, conference papers, books, and reports, this study explores critical variables such as security, transparency, efficiency, challenges, opportunities, and impact associated with blockchain adoption in banking. Thematic analysis is the primary methodological approach to identify recurring themes, patterns, and relationships across literature, facilitating a nuanced understanding of blockchain's implications for banking operations. The findings reveal a dual nature of blockchain adoption in banking, highlighting significant opportunities alongside critical challenges. While blockchain technology offers enhanced security, transparency, and efficiency, challenges like scalability issues, regulatory uncertainties, and interoperability concerns persist. Nonetheless, the study underscores the transformative potential of blockchain in revolutionizing banking operations, urging policymakers and banking practitioners to address these challenges through continued research, technological innovation, and collaborative efforts. By leveraging blockchain effectively, the banking industry can navigate the digital landscape, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver superior customer experiences, thereby gaining a competitive edge in the financial sector

Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in project management has emerged as a transformative approach, revolutionizing traditional practices by enhancing efficiency, decision-making, and risk management. Despite its potential, organizations face significant challenges, including high implementation costs, concerns over data privacy, and resistance to change, which hinder effective adoption. The purpose of this study is to explore emerging trends, key applications, and challenges of AI in project management, while also evaluating its impact on improving risk management, resource allocation, and decision-making in complex projects. The study employs a systematic literature review (SLR) methodology, adhering to the PRISMA protocol, to analyze peer-reviewed articles from MDPI, IEEE, Science Direct, and Emerald databases, published between 2018 and 2024. Keywords combined with Boolean operators were used to filter relevant studies, ensuring a balanced and focused selection of high-quality publications. The results reveal AI's capacity to proactively identify risks, adapt to dynamic project environments, and optimize resource allocation, ultimately enhancing decision-making efficiency and project outcomes. However, challenges such as implementation costs and resistance to organizational change remain critical barriers. The implications suggest that while AI significantly enhances project management, addressing these challenges is essential for broader adoption and scalability. This research concludes that AI is a game-changer in project management, offering insights into emerging trends and critical challenges. Future research should focus on developing scalable, cost-effective AI solutions to overcome adoption barriers, thereby extending the benefits of AI integration across diverse industries.

Abstract

Blockchain technology has emerged as a transformative tool to address critical challenges in environmental data management within smart cities, particularly enhancing trust, data integrity, and interoperability. This systematic literature review aims to analyze how blockchain frameworks support secure and transparent environmental data sharing for sustainable urban development. The study involved a comprehensive search of multiple academic databases, including IEEE Xplore, ScienceDirect, Wiley, and MDPI, covering publications from 2019 to 2025. A total of 23 relevant papers were selected and critically examined. The results reveal that blockchain-based solutions often integrate with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and digital twins to improve data validation, governance, and real-time analytics. Key innovations include decentralized trust frameworks, smart contract governance, and interoperability models like Blockchain-of-Blockchains. Despite these advancements, challenges such as scalability, energy consumption, and lack of standardization persist. The review concludes that while blockchain offers a robust foundation for secure and interoperable environmental data systems in smart cities, ongoing research and collaboration are essential to overcome current limitations and achieve sustainable, transparent urban ecosystems.
