Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by high bloodsugar levels. Consequently, this condition can cause various problems andcomplications, so patients’ medication adherence is essential to preventcomplications. Apart from that, family support is also a factor that affectsincreasing medication adherence in type 2 DM patients. This research wasclassified as quantitative research using a descriptive correlation method witha Cross-sectional design. The research population was all type 2 DM patientswith complications in the working area of Puskesmas (Public Health Center)Kabila, with as many as 516 people. In the meantime, the samples were 84people determined through Accidental Sampling. The research findingsindicated that 59 respondents (70.2%) had good family support, while 25respondents (29.8%) had poor one. Meanwhile, 48 respondents (57.1%)adhered to taking medication, whereas 36 respondents (42.9%) didnot.Additionally, the results of statistical tests using chi-square denoted a pvalue = 0.000 <?=0.05.In conclusion, there is a relationship between familysupport and medication adherence in type 2 diabetes Mellitus patients withcomplications in the working area of Puskesmas Kabila. Therefore, it isrecommended that this research be used as reference material, and futureresearchers can develop research related to factors affecting medicationadherence.

Abstract

Kidney failure is the cause of death of inpatients at the hospital with a percentage of around 3.8%. The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the relationship between family support and quality of life for HD patients at Aloei Saboe Hospital, Gorontalo City. This research was conducted using an analytical survey with a cross sectional design. The results obtained are p = 0.000, which means that the p-value is smaller than alpha (5%). the existence of good support from the family will also have a good impact on the quality of life of patients who are undergoing Hemodialysis therapy at the Aloei Saboe Hospital, Gorontalo City. The support provided can be in the form of physical, emotional, instrumental and informational support that can improve the quality of life of patients where they will feel cared for, feel that their lives have meaning, are still able to associate and socialize with friends and their environment and can accept their body and health condition even though it is not like when they were healthy before. There is a relationship between family support and the quality of life of HD patients at Aloei Saboe Hospital, Gorontalo City.

Abstract

Introduction: Socio-emotional changes are often faced by adolescents. Therefore, they need. Good emotional intelligence to be able to control them selves and get through adolescence well. One of the factors that most influences emotional intelligenceis self-esteem. Objective: This study aims to know the relationship between self-esteem and emotional intelligence. Method: This is a quantitative descriptive study using survey method and cross-sectional approach. The populationis 1014 students with the sample of 287 students take nusing cluster sampling technique. Result: The finding shows that most of the respondents’ self-esteem is in the low category with a total of 146 students (50.9%), while most of their emotional intelligenceis in the medium category with a total of 141 students (49.1%). The Spearman Rank Testresults show p-value = 0.000 (

Abstract

Mental health shows self-ability in managing feeling anf overcoming difficulties in daily life. Factors causing mental disorder during teenager life are exposure to difficulties, stress of self adjustment with friends of the same age, exploration of identity. This study aimed at investigating an overview of teenager's mental health at SMP N 3 Kabila, Bone Bolango Regency. This study applied descriptive method. Population were all students of SMP N 3 Kabila amunted to 127. Samples were determined using simple random sampling, hence, it obtained 96 respondents. Technique of data collection was strenght and difficulties questionnaires (SDQ). Findings revealed that most of the students had normal mental health and only some of students had borderline mental health. It is expected to school party to be able to maintaim students who have normal health and to help those who have borderline mental health
