Abstract

This research, conducted using a quantitative-explanatory approach, aims to analyze the relationship between experience quality and customer green satisfaction, focusing on environmentally friendly tourist destinations in Malang City. The study collected data from 360 respondents through an online questionnaire and applied SEM-PLS for analysis. The respondents were selected purposively. The findings, which are of significant importance, indicate that experience quality significantly influences both customer green satisfaction and green perceived value, with the latter mediating the relationship between experience quality and customer green satisfaction. This reiteration of the findings underscores the importance of positive experiences and perceived environmental values in enhancing overall satisfaction at eco-friendly tourist destinations.

Abstract

This study examined the potential for ecotourism development centered around whale sharks in Cenderawasih Bay National Park. The preservation of Cenderawasih Bay National Park has been officially recognized as a national park and was regarded as a crucial conservation priority in Indonesia. Nonetheless, distinct obstructions and complexities were present during the execution of whale shark ecotourism in Cenderawasih Bay National Park. The implementation necessitated a careful and conscientious approach that adhered to the tenets of responsible and sustainable ecotourism. This research utilized the Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA) and Green Theory to examine the ecological, social, and economic implications of the whale shark ecotourism sector in Cenderawasih Bay National Park comprehensively and sustainably. By integrating these two approaches, this research aimed to offer all-encompassing and enduring strategic suggestions for advancing whale shark ecotourism in Cenderawasih Bay National Park.

Abstract

Background: The addition of Zeolite 4A  affected cumulative greenhouse emissions from rice. Zeolite 4A has been found to adsorb CH4 and CO2, reducing overall emissions. The combination of zeolite and  fertilizer administration in one or two applications provided an anti-synergistic effect. Methods: The chemical fertilizers and sustained release organic fertilizers used were 16200, 4600 and 666, respectively, and the amount was 31.25 gm2. Findings: Higher fertilization stimulated harvesting, resulting in higher yields and higher proportions of good grain, but less efficient GHG reductions. The ratio of zeolite 4A to fertilizer should be higher than 3: 1 to reduce the increase in greenhouse gas emissions  from the use of fertilizer. This treatment resulted in an emission reduction efficiency of 34.69% in proportion to 21.62 g CO2eq m2 g1 zeolite. Conclusion: In the current study, two applications, fertilizer and zeolite 4A, showed the best performance in reducing emissions. However, it is advisable to increase the ratio of zeolite to fertilizer. Similarly, sustained release organic fertilizers resulted in increased CH4 emissions due to the action of methanogens on  organic matter. However, plant growth,  good grain proportions, and total grain yields increased. Further research is recommended to investigate the optimal ratio of zeolite 4A to organic and synthetic fertilizers for rice cultivation.

Abstract

The issue of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has a direct impact on the increase of a country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), particularly in the tourism sector. The growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) has become a key factor in the success of this increase. However, capital constraints remain a challenge in unlocking the potential of MSMEs. Many MSME business owners are still not bankable and lack confidence in accessing capital. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between financial knowledge, financial behavior, access to finance, and firm performance among MSME owners in the thematic villages of Malang City. Using an explanatory research approach, the data collected were analyzed through SEM-PLS. The findings show that financial knowledge and financial behavior have a significant effect on firm performance, while access to finance does not influence firm performance.
