<![CDATA[AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh siswa yang selalu membicarakan media sosial di sekolah, tidak suka membaca, dan belajar tidak fokus akibat dari penggunaan gadget. Penelitian yang dilakukan peneliti ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan gadget terhadap gemar membaca siswa kelas IV.1 di MI An-Nur Kota Cirebon. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian ex post facto. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik observasi, penyebaran angket dan studi dokumentasi.Populasi sebanyak 38 siswa dan sampel yang digunkan yaitu sampling jenuh. Adapun analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji validitas, normalitas, linearitas, determinasi, regresi dan hipotesis. Dari hasil penelitian rekapitulasi angeket siswa bahwa proses penggunaan gadget adalah 70% dengan kriteria kuat (baik). Hasil rekapitulasi observasi gemar membaca adalah 73% dengan kriteria kuat (baik). Berdasarkan hasil uji regresi nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,004. Karena menurut hipotesis nilai signifikansi lebih kecil dari 0,05 maka Ho ditolak, artinya bahwa ada pengaruh penggunaan gadget terhadap gemar membaca siswa kelas IV.1. Adapun pengaruhnya yakni sebesar 21,1%, yang artinya pengaruh tersebut lemah. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang lemah dalam penggunaan gadget terhadap gemar membaca siswa kelas IV.1 di MI An-Nur Kota Cirebon. The research conducted by this researcher aims to describe the effect of using gadgets on reading class IV.1 students in MI An-Nur, Cirebon City.
