Abstract

Anxiety is a term that is very familiar with everyday life which describes a state of worry, anxiety, fear, restlessness accompanied by various physical complaints. Nurse profession students often experience anxiety when facing exams, especially when facing competency tests because competency tests are one of the requirements to be declared graduated from education and are entitled to a registration certificate (STR). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between academic achievement and the anxiety of nursing professional students in facing the nursing competency test in the field in 2022. The research design used in this study was a correlation research design using the cross sectional method. The instruments used in data collection are questionnaire sheets and observation sheets. The results of the Spearman Rank statistical test P = 0.047 (p> 0.05) showed that there was no relationship between academic achievement and the anxiety of nursing professional students in facing the nursing competency test in the field in 2022. It is recommended for further researchers to identify other factors that affect the anxiety of professional students nurses in facing the competency test.

Abstract

The nutritional status of children under five is the condition of the body of a toddler with the fulfillment of balanced nutrition in the body of a toddler, things that every parent must know about the growth and development of children at the age of toddlers. Nutritional status is influenced by the availability of food at the family level, family parenting, environmental health, basic health services, family culture, socioeconomic, education level, and knowledge. This study aims to determine the nutritional status of toddlers at Romana Tanjung Anom Clinic, Pancur Batu District 2022. The type of design in this study is descriptive. The sampling technique in this research is total sampling. The results show that the nutritional status of toddlers at Romana Tanjung Anom Clinic, Pancur Batu District 2022, is mostly in the good category with 62 respondents (42.5%) where the nutrition of the toddlers is fulfilled according to their needs and also when the posyandu is always given additional food and information obtained during the posyandu. Parents should continue to maintain and monitor the nutritional development and growth of toddlers and be more active in seeking health information about toddlers.

Abstract

Introduction Nurses have an important role in providing nursing services so that good and qual-ity performance is needed for patients, therefore high motivation is needed both from within and from outside which can generate enthusiasm in work by providing all abilities and skills in order to achieve goals and improve the quality of health services. This study aims to determine the relationship between Motivation and Nurse Performance at Santa Elisabeth Hospital Medan 2024. Method The design of this study uses a correlational design with a cross sectional ap-proach. The sampling technique uses a purposive sampling technique, with a sam-ple of 130 respondents. The measuring tool used is a questionnaire. Statistical analysis uses Chi-Square. Result The results of the study obtains high category work motivation are 81 respondents (62.3%) and nurses who have good performance as many as 87 respondents (66.9%). Conclusion It is hoped that nurses can further improve their motivation and performance in providing nursing services to patients.

Abstract

Background: Spirituality is one of the things that affects the health of patients, unmet spiritual needs will make patients unable to overcome their health problems, and can even slow down the healing process in these patients. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between nurses' caring behavior and the level of spirituality of patients in the Lidwina and Yosef rooms of Santa Elisabeth Hospital Medan in 2023. Methods: This study used a cross sectional design. Sampling using purposive sampling technique with a total sample size of 60 respondents. The instruments used in this study were caring behavior questionnaire and DSES. Results: The results showed that the majority of nurses' caring behavior was in the excellent category as many as 50 respondents (83%) and the majority of patients' spirituality level was in the high category as many as 58 respondents (97%). Conclusions: Based on the Spearman rank statistical test, the p-value is 0.000 (p <0.05) with a correlation index of 0.547. This means that there is a moderate and positive relationship (unidirectional) between the caring behavior of nurses and the spirituality of patients in the Lidwina and Joseph rooms of Santa Elisabeth Hospital Medan in 2023. It is expected that nurses can improve and maintain the level of spirituality of patients through caring behavior and empathy provided by nurses.
