Abstract

Marine tourism in Batam, Riau Islands has great potential to be developed by utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This research aims to investigate the use of GIS in developing marine tourism in Batam, Riau Islands, by applying the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology. The SDLC methodology is used as a framework for developing and utilizing GIS that can improve the management and promotion of marine tourism in Batam. The SDLC stages include requirements analysis, design, implementation, verification and system maintenance. The results of this research show that the use of GIS with the SDLC approach can help improve the management and promotion of marine tourism in Batam. GIS applications enable users to obtain accurate and timely information about marine tourism attractions, assist in travel planning, and improve tourist experiences. By combining information technology and geographic data, marine tourism in Batam can continue to develop and become a major attraction for local and foreign tourists. Implementing the use of GIS with the SDLC methodology is a wise step to advance the marine tourism sector in Batam and the Riau Islands as a whole. Keywords: Marine tourism, GIS, SDLC, Batam.

Abstract

The purpose of marketing communications is to inform, persuade and remind. However, some of the communications delivered were not in accordance with the intended purpose, causing problems. The purpose of this study was to find out how the marketing communication carried out by Beverly Hotel Batam. This research is based on Hermawan's theory of marketing communication with 5 indicators (promotion, advertising, personal selling, public relations, direct marketing). This research was conducted using qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, literature study, and interviews with hotel general managers, senior sales and marketing, and front office manager. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the analysis show that the application of marketing communications at Beverly Hotel Batam is quite good in terms of indicators (promotion, advertising, personal selling, public relations, direct marketing). Based on the results of the analysis, it is expected that Beverly Hotel Batam can improve its human resources and consider conducting training for the front office and sales and marketing departments.

Abstract

AbstrakTuntutan global menuntut dunia pendidikan untuk selalu dan senantiasa menyesuaikan perkembangan teknologi terhadap usaha dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan. SMA Kartini Batam adalah sekolah menengah atas swasta di Batam, Kepulauan Riau. Dengan visi dan misi yang jelas, SMA Kartini di Yayasan Keluarga Batam bertujuan untuk menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang dinamis, iklusif, dan mendukung pengembangan karakter positif. Pemrograman Dasar adalah salah satu mata pelajaran dasar dalam bidang Teknologi, Informasi, dan Komunikasi (TIK). Pada pembelajaran sekarang ini sangat penting memiliki pengetahuan TIK. Namun, SMA Kartini Batam belum terbiasa menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Python untuk pemrograman. Oleh karena itu, dasar pemrograman penting dipelajari khususnya siswa/i jurusan teknik informatika dan komputer. Menerapkan dasar pemrograman di sekolah dapat membantu meningkatkan minat siswa dalam bidang teknologi seperti pembuatan aplikasi, game dan website. Dengan adanya pelatihan dasar pemrograman bagi siswa/i SMA Kartini Batam sebagai landasan yang penting untuk mempelajari bahasa pemrograman dan mengembangkan keterampilan pemrograman. Python merupakan bahasa pemrograman yang populer dan mudah dipelajari. Python banyak digunakan dalam pengembangan perangkat lunak, data science, dan machine learning. Menerapkan dasar pemrograman di sekolah juga dapat membantu meningkatkan minat siswa dalam bidang teknologi seperti pembuatan aplikasi, game dan website. Kata kunci: teknologi; dasar pemrograman; python; minat siswa; mutu pendidikan. AbstractGlobal demands require the world of education to always and continuously adapt to technological developments in efforts to improve the quality of education. SMA Kartini Batam is a private high school in Batam, Riau Islands. With a clear vision and mission, SMA Kartini at the Batam Family Foundation aims to create a dynamic, inclusive learning environment and support positive character development. Basic Programming is one of the basic subjects in the field of Technology, Information, and Communication (ICT). In today's learning, it is very important to have knowledge of ICT. However, SMA Kartini Batam is not yet accustomed to using the Python programming language for programming. Therefore, basic programming is important to learn, especially for students majoring in informatics and computer engineering. Implementing basic programming in schools can help increase student interest in technology fields such as application, game and website development. With basic programming training for SMA Kartini Batam students as an important foundation for learning programming languages and developing programming skills. Python is a popular and easy-to-learn programming language. Python is widely used in software development, data science, and machine learning. Abstract

Batam 26 High School or known as Smandanam is a superior school which aims to produce a generation with knowledge and superior character. whose address is at the Botania 1 Complex, Botania Garden Batam Center Batam City, where currently SMAN 26 Batam is led by Mr. Midiyanto, S.PD., M.M as Principal of the School. At SMAN 26 Batam, currently there are two main focus areas: the Department of Natural Sciences (IPA) and the Department of Social Sciences (IPS). Given the importance of digital technology and automation in both domestic and industrial settings, it is important to include robotics curricula from elementary to high school, even though they are currently offered as extracurricular activities. The most important aspect of the Community Service program is the potential for sustainability. This program can be continued with a mentoring program in the development of extracurricular curriculum at SMAN 26 Batam, namely by assisting in making different types of mobile robots. The method that will be used is the method of providing mobile robot materials and will briefly present the steps for assembling a mobile robot. Furthermore, participants will try out the assembled results in the field or object work line. On this occasion the PengMas team will help provide training on assembling mobile robots. This robotics training activity provides an opportunity for students and teachers to become more familiar with basic computer programming and furthermore, participants will have the skills to assemble robots.
