Abstract

Berdasakan hasil penelitian di Desa Betahwalang didapatkan nilai simpanan karbon pada tegakan vegetasi mangrove sebesar 1.684,24 ton/ha dan nilai simpanan karbon substrat mangrove sebesar 96,26 ton/ha.Mangrove is a plant that has an important role in both physical, economic, and ecology. One of its ecological functions is carbon stocks. Mangrove are categozed as wetland ecosystems that can store carbon 800 – 1.200 tons/ha. The research on estimation of carbon stocks is indipensable to support the world climate improvement while being hit by global warming. The sampling was conducted in March – April 2019. The data retrival method used is purposive sampling, at four stations with different mangrove conditions. Each research station is divides into three plots to calculate stands biomass values using an allometric formula in estimating carbon stocks in stands. Then carbon substrate data was obtained from the sediment of each plot and then an analysis of the content of organic matter was carried out on the substrates with LOI (Loss in Ignition) method. Base on the results of the study found the value of carbon stocks in the mangrove vegetation stands of 1.684,26 ton/ha and the value of mangrove substarte carbon stocks of 96,26 ton/ha.

Abstract

The Container Security Initiative (CSI) is a pivotal program in enhancing global supply chain security, particularly in Indonesia. Introduced as a response to terrorist threats post-September 11, 2001, CSI aims to secure international container shipments through pre-screening at ports of origin. This article analyzes CSI implementation in Indonesia, its impact on supply chain security, and its role in bolstering maritime security. CSI has proven effective in mitigating smuggling risks and improving logistical efficiency. The program also fosters international cooperation in addressing transnational threats. Despite challenges such as increased operational costs, CSI contributes significantly to Indonesia's national security and economic stability. Effective CSI implementation has the potential to strengthen Indonesia's position in global trade and enhance resilience against maritime security threats.
