Abstract

PT Gerbang Saranabaja is a company engaged in the steel fabrication and construction industry. The type of Engineer-to-order request in the production process causes the products produced to have their own characteristics and specifications according to client requests so that in the production process there is still waste caused by various factors. The purpose of this research is to identify critical waste with the Waste Assessment Model method, find out the root cause of critical waste with Root Cause Analyst and produce alternative recommendations for improvement with 5W + 1H Analysis in the production process at PT Gerbang Saranabaja. The results showed that the crisis waste in the production process was Motion with a final value of 0.00387, defect with a final value of 0.00354 and Inventory with a final value of 0.00345. The crisis waste that occurs is caused by various interrelated things and the alternative improvements that can be made are to improve team coordination in various aspects, evaluate and optimize the layout of the work area, increase awareness of work quality through training, review and improve production capacity planning and optimize line balancing in the production area.

Abstract

PT. ABC is a manufacturing company whose production line is railroad components. In the production process, there is backtracking in the production process so that the production process is less efficient. The purpose of this research is to compare the initial material handling layout mileage with the proposed layout. This study uses the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) method to determine the layout proposals that will be provided with the help of Blocplan software. From the proposed layout, the total distance traveled for the passenger seat production process is 402.8 meters and at 277.8 meters the difference is 125 meters.

Abstract

PDAM Surya Sembada Kota Surabaya is a regional company (BUMD) that focuses on clean water services in the Surabaya area. Therefore, service must be improved more, especially in the Western Technical Services department, where to improve customer service, new installations are carried out analysis. The method used to analyze improvements in new installation services is using the SOAR method. The SOAR method is a method used to strengthen organizations both internally and externally. Then, using the SOAR method, an IFE value of 3.7 and an EFE value of 3.02 is obtained, then these values ​​are entered into cell I with a green index. This value shows that the West Technical Services Department is in a developing position at this time, especially in new installation services which are experiencing an increase. With this situation, it is hoped that the Western Technical Services department can maintain what has been achieved to date. And it is hoped that we can improvise to strengthen what has been built.

Abstract

The rapid development of the industry has driven the emergence of various technologies that can support the industry, especially in production activities. Production activities are the actions performed by humans to generate a product, be it goods or services, which are then utilized by consumers. These activities operate around the clock to produce products that meet market demand. For smooth production activities, manufacturing industries need to provide raw materials that meet targets and create plans before operating, with inventory levels set to ensure that needs are met in terms of quality, quantity, time, and low cost as planned. PT XYZ is a fruit juice manufacturer with avocado juice being its most popular product. The production of avocado juice was analyzed over the period of 2015-2020 using Vensim software with four scenarios to assess the availability of raw materials. The research findings reveal that the total availability of flour raw materials in 2020 was 10,000 tons; 9,450 tons; 9,500 tons; 10,150 tons; 11,400 tons; 13,250 tons. To address the issue, PT XYZ can monitor fruit stocks and periodically estimate fruit seasons.

Abstract

PT KHI is a company operating in the food and beverage industry in Indonesia. In production activities there are many factors that can hinder performance productivity. Worker productivity is a value that cannot be seen directly except through a calculation process, so the worker productivity value is calculated from the company PT KHI. This research was carried out in the Production department using the Time and Motion Study method with a Lean Manufacturing approach, namely waste or extravagance to increase labor productivity in the Production department area. This time it was carried out directly by means of field observation. So that primary data is obtained. The results were obtained in the form of recommendations for improvement, namely: adjusting the total headcount in the line F area from previously 7 headcounts to 6 headcounts and moving several tasks from the carton sealer operator to each operator in the packing area of ​​line F, then classifying them into 3 headcounts for the packing section and 3 headcounts for the packing section. . It can be concluded from the results of this research that one type of waste is eliminated, namely adjusting the number of operators in the packing line F area so that before the improvements, labor productivity is 71.71% on line F and after labor productivity is 83.63%. By making improvements, cost savings of IDR 4,515,133 were obtained for 26 working days.

Abstract

Industry always carries out production planning for success in various sectors and reduces the occurrence of failures, defects in the products produced and other problems in warehouses and other production areas. One of the crucial or important problems in the company is in the warehousing (warehouse), where the case study I took was 4 problems in the warehouse including full warehouse capacity, arrivals not on schedule, heavy equipment experiencing damage and differences in data in files and reality. Of these 4 problems, they will be resolved using FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis). In completing the FMEA, the final result was the largest RPN value at full warehouse capacity with the cause of the problem being limited locations that could be built with RPN 294. This led to remedial efforts to resolve the company's problems. Hopefully, with this resolution, it can help companies reduce the risk of less than optimal warehouses in the company.

Abstract

In the current industrial era, operational efficiency is key for companies. Machining service providers can be seen from the number of workshops. At CV. XYZ has a lathe problem, there is no method for maintenance. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to calculate machine maintenance in companies using the Autonomous Maintenance (AM) method. From the calculation results obtained during January-June 2024, the highest average OEE value was in May 88.82%, Availability Rate parameters 88.76%, Performance Rate 99.28%, Rate of Quality 100%. The lowest average OEE value occurred in January 52.11% with Availability Rate parameters 76.44%, Performance Rate 90.66%, Rate of Quality 75%. From these results, it is necessary to have machine maintenance with indications for each component: cleaning the dynamo regularly, ensuring the on-off button is connected which is expected to increase effectiveness, extend machine life, and reduce maintenance costs.

Abstract

PT. XYZ merupakan suatu perusahaan yang berjalan dalam bidang bisnis pelayanan jasa penyediaan tenaga listrik. PT. XYZ mempunyai unit bisnis lain yaitu Unit Bisnis Jasa Operation & Maintenance (UBJOM) yang melayani jasa operasi dan pemeliharaan unit pembangkit tenaga listrik dengan salah satunya PT. XYZ. PT. XYZ mendapatkan kepercayaan dari PT. PLN ditugaskan untuk menangani kinerja aset Operation & Maintenance pembangkit listrik Program Percepatan Diversifikasi Energi (PPDE) dengan kapasitas 2 x 350 Mega Watt (MW). PT. XYZ memiliki 5 Departemen antara lain Departemen Operasi, Departemen Pemeliharaan, Departemen Teknik, Departemen Logistik dan terakhir Departemen Keuangan dan Administrasi. Supaya kualitas para karyawanxterjaga dan meningkat, perusahaan perlu melakukan suatu penilaian kinerja pegawai berupa pemilihan karyawan terbaik dimana kinerja karyawan dapat diapresiasi oleh perusahaan demi mencapai kemajuan bersama. Dengan menggunakan metode_Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) sebagai usulan dalam penilaian kinerja objektif maka didapatkan ranking kriteria untuk penilaian staff dari yang tertinggi ke terendah antara lain Kedisiplinan dengan bobot nilai sebesar 0,424, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan Kepribadian dengan bobot nilai 0,290, Hasil Kerja dengan bobot nilai 0,175, dan Hubungan Kerja dengan bobot nilai 0,111.
