Abstract

The service activity carried out is in the form of mentoring in learning mathematics subjects for class VII C students at SMP Negeri 14 Kerinci. The aim of this mentoring activity is to increase students' understanding, enthusiasm and enthusiasm for learning, especially in mathematics subjects, material regarding arithmetic operations. algebraic form. Class VII C students at SMP Negeri 14 Kerinci have low interest in mathematics lessons, this can be seen from their lack of enthusiasm in studying in class and their low understanding of the material provided. This is known through initial observations and identification carried out in class. This mentoring activity is carried out through teaching and learning assistance to female students using the mentoring method. At the start of this mentoring activity, students interview teachers and students with the aim of finding out the students' abilities before providing mentoring. After being given. mentoring by the service team, the students will be given a final test (posttest) with the aim of finding out the level of success of the mentoring carried out. The results of this activity showed that the response from students was very good and enthusiastic about participating in good study guidance which can increase students' understanding, enthusiasm and enthusiasm in learning algebraic arithmetic operations.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan penguasaan penting dalam pembelajaran matematika, namun masih dipengaruhi oleh perbedaan karakteristik individu, termasuk tipe kepribadian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa pada mata kuliah statistik matematika ditinjau dari tipe kepribadian judging dan perceiving. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari empat mahasiswa Program Studi Tadris Matematika Institut Agama Islam Negeri Kerinci yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling, yaitu dua mahasiswa bertipe kepribadian judging dan dua mahasiswa bertipe kepribadian perceiving. Instrumen yang digunakan yakni angket MBTI, tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa dengan tipe kepribadian judging menunjukkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang lebih baik dengan rata-rata persentase sebesar 77%, dengan capaian tinggi pada tahap memahami masalah 88%, menyusun rencana 88%, dan melaksanakan rencana 100%, namun masih rendah pada tahap memeriksa kembali 32%. Sementara itu, mahasiswa dengan tipe kepribadian perceiving memperoleh rata-rata kemampuan sebesar 64%, dengan persentase pada tahap memahami masalah 62%, menyusun rencana 77%, melaksanakan rencana 100%, dan memeriksa kembali 16%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa dengan tipe kepribadian judging cenderung lebih baik dalam menyelesaikan masalah dibandingkan mahasiswa dengan tipe kepribadian perceiving. Dengan demikian, tipe kepribadian berperan dalam mempengaruhi kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran statistik matematika.
