Abstract

Takofi Village is one of the sub-districts in Moti District. It has an area of 111.39 Km² and is divided into 6 RTs. Because this village is located on the coast, access to clean water and toilet facilities is minimal and unsupportive in terms of health. PKM 2022 activities carried out by the mechanical engineering study program at the Khairun University Faculty of Engineering, one of which is the repair of water distribution pipe installations and toilets, where the current condition of MCK in Takofi village is still inadequate. As for the implementation of repairs to the structure of water distribution channel pipes and toilets, repairs to the installation of water distribution channel pipes and toilets are carried out as well as advice on how to utilize clean water supply and be able to provide a place for waste disposal from toilets so as not to pollute the water, air, and soil in the Takofi village neighborhood. The results of the identification of problems in the implementation of this activity include; a lack of knowledge about the behavior of using MCK, Lack of knowledge about the use of clean water, damage to MCK distribution channel pipes, and improper arrangement of pipe installations, resulting in the malfunction of the water distribution network in MCK..Keywors; Pipeline Installation, Clean Water, MCK, Takofi Village

Abstract

The 2022 PKM activities carried out by the Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Khairun University, were completed in Takofi Village, Pulau Moti District. Takofi Village is one of the villages located in Pulau Moti District, with the average population working as farmers and fishermen. One of the biggest fertilizer producers from this village is cloves and nutmeg. The clove and nutmeg home processing industry in this village can be said to be very minimal. The clove and nutmeg marketing process carried out by the people of Takofi Village is usually carried out individually by the farmers and then sold to Village collectors; there are also itinerant traders who come from door to door to buy dried cloves from clove farmers who want to sell their cloves to them and some are sold directly to Ternate. The dedication results show that partners easily understand and practice the training material. This is evident from their ability to make several processed clove and nutmeg products, such as making clove oil and processed nutmeg products into candied nutmeg as taught. Through this activity, partners can be motivated to become entrepreneurs by utilizing existing local potential. Thus, the existing natural resources can not only be used optimally but also can generate added value for the family economy.Keywords:  Cloves, Nutmeg, Community Empowerment, Takofi Village.

Abstract

Krisis energi bahan bakar minyak didunia yang berdampak pada naiknya harga jual bahan bakar minyak termasuk minyak tanah di Indonesia. Sebagai alternatif pembakaran batuan vulkanik yang mengsubtitusikan batuan sebagai media penyimpan panas diharapkan mempengaruhi pada proses memasak. Dalam proses penelitian ini peneliti mendesain, merancang, dan menguji kompor batuan vulkanik, Parameter yang dilakukan dengan metode pengamatan/pengukuran langsung. Kompor yang dibuat berbentuk persegi empat dengan dimensi lebar 34 cm, panjang 34 cm dan tinggi 26 cm. Jenis batuan yang digunakan sebagai media pembakaran adalah jenis batuan vulkanik andesit. Hasil laju perpindahan panas rata-rata pada kompor, dengan nilai terbesar laju perpindahan panas rata-rata yakni 1826,99 W dihasilkan pada tegangan listrik 225 V, sedangkan nilai paling rendah dengan nilai laju perpindahan panas rata-rata yakni 182,57 dihasilkan pada tegangan listrik 190 V. Waktu yang dibutuhkan api untuk mencapai temperatur konstan 1000℃ Waktu tercepat untuk mencapai temperatur konstan 1000℃ yakni 5,11menit dihasilkan pada tegangan listrik 225 V, sedangkan waktu paling lama untuk mencapai temperatur konstan 1000℃, yakni 6,35 menit dihasilkan pada tegangan listrik 190 V. dalam mendidihkan air lama waktu untuk mencapai temperatur 100°C (menit) dengan tegangan listrik 225V sudah dapat mendidihkan air sebanyak 2 liter. sedangkan waktu paling lama untuk mencapai temperatur 100°C yakni 55,04 menit baru dapat mendidihkan air sebanyak 2 liter pada tegangan 190 V.
