Abstract

This study aims to see how far the application of GCG in Islamic banking in Indonesia. Because the Sharia Bank is a bank whose application of activities is different from conventional banks. Where one of the differences is the existence of a Sharia Supervisory Board that ensures the activities of banks based on sharia. Then a study of Islamic banks was conducted during 2014 until 2018. The method used was ANOVA and Panel Data Regression. The research results show that in the average test it was found that the application of GCG to Islamic banks was 'good', not yet able to reach the 'very good' level. In the panel test a number of points were found. First in general testing, the Board of Commissioners and Directors significantly influence GCG, while the Sharia Supervisory Board does not show significant results. In testing the fixed effect it was found that the Board of Directors and the Board of Commissioners were not significant indicating that both the Board of Directors and the Board of Commissioners had similarities in their various decisions. While the Sharia Supervisory Board showed significant results which meant that DPS had differences in their decisions. In the results of the time analysis it was found that the implementation of the GCG function did not change from time to time. It was found that the influence of individual banks was significant, while the influence of individual years was not significant.

Abstract

Religious moderation is important for the harmony of every community group. So that the creation of tolerance is the goal of the state, especially the Ministry of Religion. IAIN Kerinci is one of the educational institutions that organizes community service activities based on religious moderation. The location where the KKN is implemented is in Pesisir Selatan Regency, to be precise in 4 different sub-districts. The methods used are Social Reflection, Participation Planning, Action, and Evaluation. Social Reflection by observing both directly and indirectly the condition of the village that will be occupied. Participation Planning by knowing the problems that are occurring and looking for alternatives that are in accordance with the implementation of the KKN program. Action by carrying out KKN activities based on plans that have been prepared. Evaluation by asking for suggestions and distributing questionnaires to various parties involved in implementing KKN. The evaluation results of the implementation of KKN from both Field Supervisors, Village Trustees, Students and the Community were mostly very effective.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) conducted by students of the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Kerinci in South Pesisir Regency, West Sumatra, aims to apply academic knowledge in addressing various social, economic, and educational challenges faced by the local community. Through collaboration between the university, local government, and the community, this program is designed to provide benefits and improve the quality of life for the community. Evaluations from various parties, including Field Supervising Lecturers (DPL), Village Heads, students, and the community, indicate a high level of satisfaction with the effectiveness of this program. DPLs highlight the program's success in providing a strong structure and apparatus support, contributing to capacity building for the community and students. Village Heads appreciate the integration and strong support from local leaders, while students show valuable learning experiences that support their growth. Evaluations from the community indicate the KKN program's direct positive impact on their welfare. The results of the evaluations affirm that the KKN program in South Pesisir Regency has successfully achieved its community service objectives, reflecting the successful implementation of participatory collaboration between the university, local government, and the community in inclusive and sustainable development. This program highlights the importance of community service as an integral part of higher education's tri dharma and demonstrates the added value of a collaborative approach in solving community problems.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance students' abilities in writing scientific articles through the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Based on an initial survey, the main obstacles faced by students are limited time, difficulty in understanding writing structures, and low levels of creativity in developing ideas. To address these issues, training was conducted involving the use of AI-based tools such as Grammarly, QuillBot, and ChatGPT. The activity consisted of an introductory workshop, simulations of AI usage in article writing, group discussions, and intensive mentoring. Evaluation of the program showed a significant increase in students' confidence and productivity in completing scientific articles. The publication of the scientific articles produced by the students serves as a form of appreciation and recognition of their efforts. This activity has proven effective in improving the quality of students' scientific writing and introducing the ethical use of AI technology in academia.
