Abstract

The development of Information Technology is currently developing very dynamically, one of which is that the Education Service agency cannot be separated from technology, for example internet network technology, one of which is SMKN 1 Tirtamulya. Currently, to carry out exams, quizzes and others, you must be connected to the internet, but the internet network connection in The Computer Laboratory of SMKN 1 Tirtamulya sometimes has unstable internet access, and some clients get slow connections. From this problem, researchers want to produce bandwidth management so that all computers connected to the internet network meet workload requirements. The researcher's contribution in this research is to prove to schools, especially laboratory managers, that well-managed bandwidth will provide stable internet network connections to clients, if all clients are running connected to the internet, there are no clients who do not get their bandwidth allotment. Researchers tried to use bandwidth management with the Simple Queue Technique, Multilevel Simple Queue Technique, and network quality testing using Quality of Service parameters. The results of bandwidth management using the Simple Queue Technique and the Multilevel Simple Queue Technique were successfully implemented, all clients got the amount of bandwidth that had been determined, and for QoS results, the Simple Queue Technique got very good indicators of Throughput, very good Packet Loss, very good Delay, good jitter, while the Multilevel Simple Queue Technique has very good QoS Throughput parameters, good Packet Loss, Delay, very good, good jitter. The use of this bandwidth management method was successfully implemented in the SMKN 1 Tirtamulya laboratory.
