Abstract

Stunting is the government's main concern issue at the moment. The impact of stunting is not only related to health factors, both physical and cognitive, but can result in multidimensional problems. Various efforts have been made by the current government to anticipate the real threat of stunting which is still quite high in Indonesia. One effort that can be made is to optimize the role of family planning instructors as educators in non-formal family education, namely by facilitating non-formal education for families at risk of stunting through the mobilization of family planning instructors. This article is the result of descriptive analysis based on a qualitative approach. The research results show that the mobilization of family planning instructors to increase maternal knowledge and good parenting patterns, as well as health education through IEC about stunting, for mothers from families at risk of stunting, is very important to reduce the prevalence of stunting in toddlers, especially in villages where stunting is located. Optimizing the role of family planning instructors so that they are effective is implemented by making instructors as educators, mentors/companions, motivators and communicators for families at risk of stunting. On the other hand, so that family planning instructors can reach remote rural areas and provide informal education directly to families at risk of stunting, this can be done through changes to the Mobile Information Units at BKKBN Representatives.

Abstract

Public knowledge about stunting prevention is correlated with the government's ability to provide health education services. The implementation of IEC Method through MOCUGA, which was initiated by Representatives BKKBN of Banten, is considered to increase public knowledge about stunting. This program, which is still considered premature, requires effectiveness measures that are output-oriented. Therefore, it is necessary to measure the effectiveness of MOCUGA intervention program for public knowledge level about stunting prevention. This research uses an experimental approach with a one group pre-test and post-test design. Data collection came from 95 respondents, selected from the population of Families at Risk of Stunting (KRS) in Sangiang Village, Lebak Regency of Banten Province. The collected data was analyzed using the t-test and Cohen's effect size method. It was found that 87.5% of mothers who had babies under two years old (Baduta), had the lowest level of knowledge about stunting prevention compared to other categories at the time of the pre-test. The level of very good knowledge about stunting prevention during the pre-test was determined by the prospective bride and groom (Catin) at 25%. Knowledge before and after the IEC education intervention through the MOCUGA program showed a difference of p = 0.034 and a correlation level of r = 0.397. However, the effectiveness of the MOCUGA intervention treatment is still classified as having a small effect of -0.22, on the impact of KRS knowledge about stunting prevention.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of religious character education based on Pancasila in elementary school students through the art of Debus. A qualitative approach with descriptive analysis was employed. The research was conducted at an elementary school in Serang Regency and at one of the Lungguh Pangayom Pencak Silat Paguron located in Serang Regency. The findings indicate that Debus art has not been introduced philosophically to elementary school students in Serang Regency. However, based on interviews and observations, it can be concluded that the philosophical values embedded in Debus art, if well-implemented and structured within basic education institutions, can enhance religious values based on Pancasila in elementary school students. To optimize religious character education based on Pancasila, the government could integrate Debus art as local content in the elementary school curriculum.

Abstract

This study seeks to assess the impact of critical thinking and project-based learning on student learning outcomes. This study employs a mixed-methods approach that integrates qualitative and quantitative research. This study employs an Explanatory Sequential Design and encompasses a cohort of 200 students. The random sampling method is employed for the sampling procedure. The researcher performed interviews with informants to acquire further information following the conclusion of data collection. The subsequent phase entails the administration of assessments to evaluate science learning results, after the collection of quantitative data using observation sheets, questionnaires, and test items. The preliminary approach of quantitative data analysis employs SPSS Statistics 26 software to produce descriptive statistics, assess hypotheses, and examine assumptions. Furthermore, for qualitative analysis employing the Miles and Huberman methodology. The hypothesis test results indicated that PBL significantly influenced student learning outcomes (Sig. = 0.005, correlation coefficient = 0.879), critical thinking also significantly affected student learning outcomes (Sig. = 0.002, correlation coefficient = 0.880), and both project-based learning and critical thinking collectively impacted student learning outcomes (Sig. = 0.000, correlation coefficient = 0.950). Implications for educational practices and curriculum development are derived from the results of this research. Initially, the investigation endorses the integration of critical thinking and project-based learning (PBL) exercises as a means to enhance knowledge retention, and ability to apply concepts in real-world contexts.
