Abstract

This study examines the integration of the Agile Scrum framework as a project management approach in a software development context. The research objective was to evaluate the use of Agile Scrum for enhancing digital transformation initiatives. The findings indicate that the implemented system can be effectively utilized by the organization, aligning with its requirements. Additionally, the Agile Scrum methodology proved beneficial in increasing the adoption of SAP SuccessFactors within application consulting settings, emphasizing the need for flexible integration of project management practices to accommodate rapid business dynamics.

Abstract

Optimalisasi sistem manajemen sumber daya manusia merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam menghadapi perubahan bisnis yang cepat. Salah satu sistem yang dapat mengelola hal tersebut adalah SAP SuccessFactors. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas penggunaan SAP SuccessFactors di PT. Weefer Indonesia dalam kegiatan konsultasi produk. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah agile scrum, yang terdiri dari beberapa tahapan, yaitu perencanaan sprint, pengembangan iteratif, daily stand-up meetings, dan evaluasi berkala. Melalui pendekatan ini, implementasi sistem dilakukan secara bertahap dengan umpan balik berkelanjutan dari pengguna untuk memastikan kesesuaian dengan kebutuhan perusahaan. Kontribusi dari kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan tim dalam mengoptimalkan penggunaan SAP SuccessFactors, serta peningkatan efisiensi proses konsultasi produk di perusahaan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang diimplementasikan dapat digunakan dengan baik dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan perusahaan. Pendekatan agile scrum terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan penggunaan SAP SuccessFactors dalam konteks konsultasi aplikasi, menyoroti kebutuhan akan adaptasi integrasi manajemen proyek yang fleksibel dalam menghadapi dinamika bisnis yang cepat. Optimizing human resource management systems is crucial in responding to rapid business changes. One system that can facilitate this process is SAP SuccessFactors. The objective of this community engagement initiative is to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of SAP SuccessFactors utilization at PT. Weefer Indonesia in product consulting activities. The methodology used in this initiative is Agile Scrum, which consists of several stages: sprint planning, iterative development, daily stand-up meetings, and periodic evaluations. Through this approach, system implementation is carried out incrementally with continuous user feedback to ensure alignment with the company’s needs. The contribution of this initiative includes improving the team's understanding and skills in optimizing SAP SuccessFactors usage, as well as enhancing the efficiency of product consulting processes within the company. The results of this study indicate that the implemented system can be effectively utilized and meets the company's requirements. The Agile Scrum approach has proven to be effective in improving SAP SuccessFactors usage in the context of application consulting, highlighting the need for adaptive and flexible project management integration to navigate rapid business dynamics.

Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the impact of software testing practices on software quality in software companies in Batam, Indonesia. It focused on identifying key factors such as software testing knowledge, software testing approach, and software testing complexity and analysing their correlation with software quality. Data was collected from 48 respondents, including project managers, developers, and QA teams, using a questionnaire distributed via Google Forms and convenience sampling. The questionnaire was designed based on related studies to ensure relevance to the respondents’ roles. Regression analysis identified significant impacts of testing complexity, approach (p = 0.000), and knowledge (p = 0.003) on software quality. The F-test result (F = 32.622) confirmed a strong relationship between testing practices and software quality. These findings emphasise the critical role of robust testing strategies in enhancing software quality. For companies in Batam, the study offers actionable insights, including adopting structured frameworks and preferable action on testing approaches. Implementing these strategies can help organisations improve software outcomes and maintain competitiveness in the evolving software development landscape.
