Abstract

Mangrove ecotourism offers a variety of interesting tourist activities for visitors, such as nature tourism, environmental education, and cultural tourism. The purpose of this study was to determine the role and efforts of the community in participating in improving mangrove ecotourism management in Denai Kuala Village, Pantai Labu District, Deli Serdang Regency. The method used in this research is Qualitative with Descriptive Approach. The results of this study show that there are various types of mangroves in Denai Kuala village such as Rhizopora Apicullata, Rhizophora Mucronata and Avicennia. Beach management with an approach that harmonizes environmental protection, animal welfare, education, and economic sustainability. Mangrove ecotourism management on Putra Deli beach is managed by one party where the management of the beach revenue is used properly and partly goes into the treasury as a further beach management fund. Mangrove management of Muara Indah Beach is carried out by groups of people who live around the beach. Not all people are only some who belong to the Muara Indah Beach management group

Abstract

Mangrove ecotourism offers various interesting tourist activities for visitors, such as nature tourism, environmental education and cultural tourism. The aim of this research is to determine the role and efforts of the community in participating in improving mangrove ecotourism management in Denai Kuala Village, Pantai Labu District, Deli Serdang Regency. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The results of this research show that Monkey Beach is managed with an approach that harmonizes environmental protection, animal welfare, education and economic sustainability. The management of mangrove ecotourism on Putra Deli beach is managed by one party where the management of the beach income is used properly and part of it goes into the treasury as funds for further beach management. Muara Indah Beach Mangrove management is carried out by community groups who live around the beach. Not all people, only a few are included in the Muara Indah Beach management group.

Abstract

Abstract. Belawan Bahari Village is one of the sub-districts in Belawan where local people use the water area for fishing or fishing activities. The problem raised in this study is regarding the constraints experienced by the fishermen as well as regarding the strategies undertaken to improve the fishermen's economy from marine catches in the Belawan Bahari Village. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with the type of research case study research (case study) and is descriptive in nature. The method used in this research is through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that fishermen still depend on tauke due to the constraints experienced by fishermen in meeting their economic needs, such as fishermen still lacking access to capital for fishing operational costs, fuel prices that have increased, lack of knowledge regarding the use of income for business development, and conditions nature that affects the state of the sea. In cooperating with the tekong/tauke/ship owners the income is divided, known as a profit sharing system, which also affects the economic life of fishermen, especially the income earned by fishermen. to reduce these constraints several strategies can be carried out as efforts or solutions, namely in the form of activities in the form of outreach or an extension for business development for fishermen's wives so that they can optimize marine catches, assistance from the government in the form of provisions such as facilities and infrastructure in catching marine products, providing direct subsidies in the form of reducing fuel prices, as well as support and monitoring from various parties, in order to improve the welfare of fishermen.

Abstract

Dairi Regency has a favorable geographical location, Sidikalang is the capital of Dairi Regency and has enormous industrial potential. The purpose of this study is to determine the potential for industrial development in Dairi Regency. The research method used is a qualitative research method that is library research using books and other literature as the main object. The results of the study show that geographical conditions, climate, and natural resources support various types of plants. The leading commodities are curly chilies, shallots, ginger, turmeric, corn, paddy fields, durian, Siamese oranges, Arabica coffee, and Robusta coffee. The potential for developing the fisheries industry with a focus on tilapia, carp, catfish, and jurung. The potential for developing tourism with ecotourism; trekking, mountain biking, observing flora and fauna, relaxing at Lake Toba. Agrotourism: visiting coffee, tea, orange plantations, learning about cultivation, then farming. Culinary and cultural tourism; art and cultural performances, cooking classes, culinary tourism. Travel history; King Silahi Sabungan Tomb Monument, Dairi Faith Tourism Park, Tao Silalahi. Religious tourism; Sidikalang Old Church, Sidikalang Grand Mosque.
