Abstract

This article discusses the important role of language error analysis in improving one's writing skills. Language error analysis plays a crucial role in the language learning process, especially in the development of writing skills. By understanding the errors made in writing, one can identify frequently occurring error patterns and address them. The language error analysis method not only helps correct grammatical errors, but also opens up a deeper understanding of better language structure. With a better understanding of mistakes made, one can improve clarity, coherence, and cohesion in one's writing. This article also highlights how the use of language error analysis techniques in the learning process can provide constructive feedback to writers. Thus, this article emphasizes the importance of language error analysis in supporting the improvement of one's writing ability.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe how people's lives are described by the author in the short story Scribbles on the Toilet by Eka Kurniawan. Researchers use descriptive analysis methods by analyzing based on the facts contained in the short story. Data collection uses the reading-note technique which is used to obtain data by reading, understanding and recording quotations that are in accordance with the formulation of the problem. The results of the research show that there are phenomena in community life that are currently occurring.

Abstract

Indonesia is known for its diverse culture. Each region in Indonesia has a culture with its own characteristics. One of the cities in Indonesia, namely Tasikmalaya, has a culture that is the identity of the city of Tasikmalaya. Therefore, researchers conducted research with the aim of describing the field of meaning of typical Tasikmalaya handicrafts with a range of meaning components and types of meaning. The method used is descriptive qualitative. This method is used because the results of this research are in the form of descriptions. The data source for this research is typical Tasikmlaya handicrafts. The data collection technique is by collecting data regarding typical Tasikmalaya handicrafts. The data was collected with stationery instruments. The semantic study used in this research is lexical semantics. This research produced six data on typical Tasikmalaya handicrafts. Each handicraft has a component meaning and type of meaning that can be differentiated in terms of material, use, color, etc. Therefore. Each typical Tasikmalaya handicraft product has its own characteristics, even though some products look the same.
