Abstract

Peran orang tua terhadap pendidikan anak sangat penting. Terlebih mengenai dukungan untuk mencapai kualitas belajar anak yang baik ketika di sekolah. Pendidikan yang pernah di lakukan oleh orang tua menjadi dasar bagaimana orang tua akan mampu berperan pada kualitas belajar anak. Sebagaimana penelitian di SDN 1 Pucungkidul, orang tua memiliki keberagaman latar pendidikan seperti Sekolah Menengah Atas, Sekolah Menengah Pertama dan Sarjana memberikan perbedaan peran terhadap kualitas belajar peserta didik kelas V SDN 1 Pucungkidul. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, merupakan data yang berkenaan dengan fakta, keadaan, variabel dan fenomena yang terjadi saat penelitian berlangsung dan menyajikan apa adanya. Subjek penelitian ini peserta didik  kelas V SDN 1 Pucung Kidul. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan lembar observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Hasil penelitian diketahui Perhatian yang tulus Orang tua dengan latar belakang pendidikan SMA sebagai pengasuh anak memainkan peranan yang sangat menentukan dalam perkembangan anak, Dorongan belajar Orangt ua dengan pendidikan SMA lebih peduli dengan pendidikan peserta didik akan berusaha memberikan yang terbaik bagi peserta didik dan memenuhi segala kebutuhan yang diperlukan oleh peserta didik dalam menunjang pendidikan. Mengajari sopan santun. Pembentukan sopan santun dimulai dari keluarga. Memberikan kebutuhan hidup. Orang tua dengan latar belakang pendidikan SMA akan memberikan fasilitas belajar yang cukup sehingga berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan kualitas belajar peserta didik. Memenuhi kebutuhan sekolah. Orang tua dengan latar Pendidikan SMA akan melengkapi alat-alat pelajarannya, akan semakin dapat orang belajar dengan sebaik-baiknya, sebaliknya kalau alat-alatnya tidak lengkap, maka hal ini merupakan gangguan di dalam proses belajar, sehingga hasilnya akan mengalami gangguan.

Abstract

This study was motivated by problems found in the learning process of Grade II students at Al-Ikhlas Islamic Elementary School. The playful nature of the students often disrupted classroom activities, resulting in an unconducive learning environment and low academic achievement. Therefore, it is necessary to instill learning discipline to help students follow rules and improve academic performance. This study aims to determine the effect of learning discipline on mathematics achievement and to explore the implementation of learning discipline among Grade II students at SDI Al-Ikhlas, Karangrejo Subdistrict, Tulungagung Regency. The research used a mixed methods approach with a concurrent embedded design, leaning more toward the quantitative side. Data were collected through observation sheet and tests. Quantitative data were analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, homogeneity tests, descriptive statistics, and t-tests. Qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The t-test results, processed using Jamovi 2.6.13, showed a significant improvement in students’ mathematics achievement after applying learning discipline, with a p-value < 0.001, thus Ha was accepted. Thematic analysis revealed six main themes in the implementation of learning discipline: time discipline, readiness and neatness in learning, focus and concentration, learning interest and motivation, activeness and participation, and academic responsibility. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of learning discipline on students’ mathematics achievement, with disciplined students performing better than those without structured learning habits.

Abstract

Learning difficulties in students are a reality that is often found in every school. Moreover, in elementary schools, there are still many students who find it difficult to understand multiplication material. According to (Cahyadi, et al. 2021: p. 175) the problem occurs because most students have difficulty understanding the material on multiplication operations. This will result in low student learning outcomes and difficulty in understanding subsequent material. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors of learning difficulties in mathematics multiplication material for class 3b, SDI Al-Ikhlas Karangrejo, Tulungagung Regency. The data collection method used observation, interviews and documentation. While data analysis used descriptive analysis Miles and Huberman which consisted of: Data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The findings of this study prove that the factors of learning difficulties in mathematics multiplication material for class 3b SDI Al-Ikhlas Karangrejo, Tulungagung Regency consist of internal and external factors from students. The results of this study can be used as evaluation material in efforts to improve understanding of multiplication.
