Abstract

This article discussed the distribution of nasal vowels in the Acehnese language in the Maritime Dictionary of Aceh-Indonesia. The nasal vowels included were /ã/, /ĩ/, /ũ/, /ɛ/̃, /ɔ̃/, /ʌ/̃, and /ɯ̃/. The data source for this research was the Aceh-Indonesia Dictionary, published by the Aceh Provincial Language Center, Ministry of Education and Culture Research and Technology, in 2021. This study employed a phonological approach with the theory of distinctive features. The research detailed the distribution of nasal vowels, including their frequency of occurrence and syllable positions. To achieve high accuracy in terms of nasal vowel occurrence frequency and syllable positions, the data was processed using the Antconc software. The research findings showed that maritime domain nasal vowels in the Acehnese language consisted of noun (n) and verb (v) word classes. There were eight nasal vowels in the noun class and two nasal vowels in the verb class. Among all nasal vowels in the Acehnese language, the vowels /ɛ/, /ɔ̃/, and /ɯ̃/ were not found in the Maritime Dictionary of Aceh-Indonesia. The research results also demonstrated that some nasal vowels were formed due to reduplication and onomatopoeia. In terms of syllable position, Acehnese nasal vowels were only found in the middle and at the end of syllables. Nasal vowels in the initial syllable position of the Acehnese language could not form words related to maritime matters. Consequently, it could be concluded that nasal vowels were not productive in the maritime vocabulary of the Acehnese la-nguage.

Abstract

The "MANIS" Program (Meronce Asik dan Nyaman untuk Inklusi Seni Enjoyable and Comfortable Beading for Inclusive Art) was designed to enhance fine motor skills, concentration, and emotional well-being in children with special needs through art therapy centered on beading activities. Guided by the SMART framework (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound), the program was structured to ensure clear objectives, measurable outcomes, and practical feasibility. A total of 35 children from the Humeira Special Needs Center participated in the sessions, which also featured a guest facilitator from Beads.Cii, an entrepreneurial outlet specializing in handmade beaded productsintroducing participants to the concept of creative business. Observational data indicated improvements in hand-eye coordination, sustained attention, and creative expression. Moreover, the activities supported emotional regulation and fostered self-confidence among the participants. The programs integration of entrepreneurial elements served as an introduction to creative business opportunities, potentially contributing to future economic empowerment for children with special needs. Evaluation results highlight the programs effectiveness across multiple dimensions, including participant engagement, achievement of therapeutic goals, and the application of entrepreneurship education. The MANIS program offers a promising model for inclusive initiatives that merge art and entrepreneurship as tools for learning and therapeutic development in children with special needs.

Abstract

This study interpreted the religiosity aspect of the Hikayat Prang Cumbok as a method of resolving social and ethnic conflicts in Aceh. What were the problems explored by the value of religiosity that caused the emergence of social conflicts in Aceh, and what concepts of religiosity were the alternative resolutions for resolving these social conflicts? The data collection method used was the manuscript study method. The data was taken from the text of the Hikayat Prang Cumbok because this saga is powerful in telling the reality of social conflict in Aceh. The data were analyzed in descriptive qualitative. The results of the study showed that the aspect of religiosity that appears in the Hikayat Prang Cumbok can be seen in three forms: (1) social religiosity, (2) divine religiosity, and (3) universal religiosity. The religiosity aspect of conflict resolution in this saga is based on reasons of faith and morality. Aqeedah is related to the relationship with Allah (hambluminallah), while morality is related to the relationship between humans (hambluminannas) and humans and the universe. From these three things, it can be seen that morality towards humans and the universe cannot be separated from morality towards God.
