<![CDATA[God is a fortress city is one of the titles that people give to God. However, there are still many Christians who doubt it. It is evident that there are still people who have known God and even born into Christian families but still do not believe in God, even though God's power is real for that person, he still does not recognize God. Therefore, it is very important to understand the meaning of God is a fortress city, especially when experiencing suffering from enemies. Psalm 59:17-18 is a psalm that calls out to God for help. In this verse the psalmist calls God a fortress city. This study aims to discuss the theological overview of Psalm 59:17-18 about God being called a fortress city. The writing method used in writing this article is the Exposition method or text analysis in the book of Psalm 59: 17-18 as well as literature review of various literature sources related to the topic under study. The result of this research is that God is a fortress city, meaning that God's people are treated very special, because God is a refuge and a source of strength, especially when experiencing suffering from enemies. In Psalm 59:17-18, the psalmist expresses his trust in God and that he will find refuge in Him. The Lord will be his stronghold and his savior.AbstrakAllah adalah kota benteng merupakan salah satu sebutan yang manusia tujukan kepada Allah. Akan tetapi masih banyak orang Kristen yang meragukannya. Hal ini terbukti masih ada orang yang sudah kenal Tuhan dan bahkan lahir dari keluarga Kristen tetapi tetap saja tidak percaya kepada Tuhan, sekalipun kuasa Tuhan nyata bagi orang tersebut, tetap saja ia tidak mengakui Tuhan. Oleh sebab itu sangat penting pemahaman mengenai arti Allah adalah kota benteng, terlebih saat mengalami penderitaan karena musuh. Mazmur 59:17-18, merupakan mazmur seruan untuk meminta tolong kepada Allah. Dalam ayat ini pemazmur memanggil Allah sebagai kota benteng. Penelitian ini bertujuan membahas tentang tinjauan teologis dari Mazmur 59:17-18 tentang Allah yang disebut sebagai kota benteng. Metode penulisan yang digunakan dalam menulis artikel ini adalah metode Eksposisi atau analisis teks di dalam kitab Mazmur 59:17-18 serta kajian literatur terhadap berbagai sumber pustaka terkait topik yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian ini yakni Allah adalah kota benteng artinya umat Allah diperlakukan sangat istimewa, karena Allah adalah tempat perlindungan dan sumber kekuatan khususnya saat mengalami penderitaan karena musuh. Dalam Mazmur 59:17-18, pemazmur menyatakan kepercayaannya kepada Allah dan ia akan mendapatkan perlindungan di dalam-Nya. Tuhan akan menjadi kubu pertahanannya dan penyelamatnya.]]>
