Abstract

This research delves into the dynamics of Quran and Hadith education at SD 23 Kota Sabang, a public school in the city. With a participant pool of 30 students, this study aims to understand and improve the methods employed in teaching these sacred texts. The primary objective is to instill fundamental skills such as reading, writing, and a profound appreciation for the Quran and Hadith, aligning with the broader goal of nurturing ethical behavior guided by these teachings. The research unfolds over two months, involving daily 15-minute sessions. The initial phase emphasizes foundational strategies, predominantly utilizing lecture-style teaching. Challenges encountered include limited resources, time constraints, and students lacking basic Quranic reading skills. The subsequent phase introduces adjustments, such as grouping students based on proficiency and integrating supplementary activities to sustain interest. Key findings highlight the prevalence of lecture-based teaching methods, indicating the need for diversification. Challenges include insufficient resources, time constraints, and students' initial reading skills, demanding tailored solutions. Recommendations involve increased parental involvement, collaborative sharing of effective teaching methods among educators, and enhanced support from school administrations

Abstract

This research explores the role of the community in fostering moral education for children in Batee Shok, Sabang City, Indonesia, and identifies the challenges hindering optimal moral development. The study investigates the educational landscape, considering factors such as community collaboration, moral education practices, available resources, mentorship, and the societal environment. The findings highlight that the community's efforts in Batee Shok are not fully optimized for effective moral education. While advice is provided to children, there is a notable absence of setting good examples and engaging in essential Islamic activities. The study identifies several obstacles, including the lack of community attention and collaboration, insufficient moral education within the community, limited resources for Islamic educational activities, scarcity of qualified mentors, and an unfavorable societal environment. To address these challenges, the research recommends increased community involvement, setting positive examples, and active engagement in moral education initiatives. Additionally, local leaders and influential figures are encouraged to play a more active role in shaping the moral landscape for children in Batee Shok. Furthermore, collaboration with governmental institutions is suggested to enhance resources and support for Islamic educational activities. These recommendations aim to improve the quality and effectiveness of moral education programs for children in Batee Shok.

Abstract

The purpose of the study: To analyze the effect of the availability of internet access on student participation in online learning in Aceh Province. The quantitative method was utilized, and data were collected using a survey method on 400 high school students in different provinces. Internet access availability, according to the findings of the analysis, has a significant positive effect on student participation in online learning (p <0.05). In this case a beta (β1) value of 0.65 implies that for every one unit increase in internet access availability, the model predicts a 0.65 unit increase in student participation. The R² = 0.42 means that the availability of internet access accounts for 42% of the variation in student participation. Moreover, students who are using internet greater than 10 Mbps participated more on comparison to students on internet between 1-10 Mbps or below 1 Mbps. This research further emphasizes the role of parental encouragement and schools' preparedness in determining student participation. The results point to the need for more initiatives to scale up internet access and speed in Aceh Province, particularly in rural and isolated regions, to support more equitable education outcomes. The results of this study are expected to be useful for policy makers in formulating policies and programs to improve internet access and quality of education in Aceh.Index Terms—Internet Access, Quality of Education, Aceh
