Abstract

Ecotourism is one of the sustainable alternative tourism developed in Indonesia, one of which is the Tangkahan Ecotourism destination. Namo Sialang Village is one of the villages directly connected to Tangkahan Ecotourism. This ecotourism destination has a history of illegal logging to the thoughts and behavior of the surrounding community for sustainable changes in Tangkahan's nature. The development of Tangkahan Ecotourism certainly has an impact on the people of Namo Sialang Village. According to UNWTO, one aspect of impact is socioeconomic sustainability. This study uses sustainable socioeconomic indicators issued by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) Criteria assessment agency on the consideration of the character of Namo Sialang Village as an area around the Tangkahan Ecotourism conservation area. Indicators of socioeconomic sustainability are used to see the benefits of the local economy and the natural environment. The subjects of this research are the people of Namo Sialang Village, to be precise in Kwala Gemoh and Kwala Buluh Hamlets. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the development of Tangkahan Ecotourism on the economy of the people of Namo Sialang Village. The research method used is a quantitative approach with quantitative analysis tools using a statistical package for the social science (SPSS) tools. The results of this study indicate the impact of tourism development in Tangkahan which has been carried out following the principles of ecotourism development. Where the percentage of positive responses from the community, which is 70%, feels the benefits of the local economy, is involved in community participation, and receives support from the development of Tangkahan Ecotourism

Abstract

Changes in tourism trends make tourists need to be more interactive and try to overcome the experience of not just being tourists who are served by actors in the tourism industry. The development of creative tourism is like this, and besides being able to meet the needs of tourists, the development of creative tourism can also create jobs and improve people's welfare. The city of Bandung is a city owned by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to be included in the UNESCO World Network of creative cities. However, the city of Bandung also has a limited typology of natural tourism. This is what makes the Bandung City government take advantage of the creative spaces that exist around the community, namely Kampung-Kota as an alternative for developing tourism potential. The Bandung City Government has developed 30 creative tourism villages in 30 Bandung City Districts. And Dago Pojok Creative Tourism Village is the first creative tourism village in Bandung City and the ideas from the Dago Pojok Village community become an example for other Creative Tourism Villages in Bandung City. The purpose of this study was to identify and determine the actual conditions of creative tourism in the Dago Pojok Creative Tourism Village as a creative tourist attraction and its impact on the socio-economic conditions of the community. The method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach with analysis using coding tools. The development of creative tourism in the Dago Pojok Creative Tourism Village has had a positive impact on the socio-economic life of the community. Judging from the relationship between the community, education, increased community income, and the opening of new job opportunities for the community. Even so, the overall socio-economic impact for the community has not been sustainable. Because creative tourism activities have not been able to become the main livelihood and uncertain community income which depends on the number of tourist visits to Dago Pojok Creative Village

Abstract

As one of the Chinese Traders, Cheng Ho’s Naval Route serves Cirebon, Semarang, and Surabaya to have a cultural identity that could be seen today. Now, the existence of cultural heritage that spread akong the Javanese Nort Coast serve tourist to learn about the cultural heritage that was shaped by Cheng Ho's Naval Route. On the other hand, the existence of this cultural heritage could be developed into alternative tourism that gives a new trend of tourism attraction yet supports cultural preservation. Through adopting the model of the Cultural Route that was advanced and developed in Europe, this research is titled “Planning of Cultural Tourism Product Development of Cheng Ho Naval Route along Javanese North Coast”. This research utilizes the qualitative approach and descriptive method as the analyzing method. The result of the research covers the Tourism Attraction and Activities aspect as a component of tourism products that attract tourists, Transportation Facilities and Services as a component that serves the movement of tourists, and Institutional Elements as an organization that manages the network of transboundary tourism attractions. The recommendation of Planning of Cultural Tourism Product Development of Cheng Ho Naval Route along the Javanese North Coast can be the reference for the stakeholders to invest in tourism development that supports the preservation of Cultural Heritage
