Abstract

The existence of cultural differences results in an individual or someone having to do interpersonal communication. In addition, through interpersonal communication is a way to connect these differences because of communication. The purpose of this study is to clarify the process, inhibiting factors, and effective interpersonal communication methods in bringing together cross-cultural languages. This research uses qualitative methods through observation, interviews, and documentation used to collect data. Qualitative data analysis is done through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or validation. This research is used to explain things related to the process of interpersonal communication in the context of intercultural meetings at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

This research focuses on how interpersonal communication in the digital age is affected by advances in information technology, especially the internet and social media. The research identifies negative impacts on the depth of interpersonal relationships and verbal communication skills through an emphasis on digital distraction, over-reliance on written media, and lack of emotional engagement. However, there are opportunities to enhance creativity in intercultural communication and collaboration along with these challenges. Overcoming the lack of emotional engagement requires improving verbal and listening skills as well as wise control of digital distractions. In short, to be relevant and significant in the dynamics of the digital age, interpersonal communication methods must be adjusted.

Abstract

This research discusses the role of verbal and nonverbal communication in selling student organization's danus products. Student organizations often hold danus sales activities to raise funds. The success of the danus sales depends on the sellers' ability to communicate with potential buyers. This study aims to identify the role of verbal and nonverbal communication in achieving successful sales of business funds by student organizations. The research method applied was qualitative, with data collection techniques involving observation and interviews. The results showed that verbal and nonverbal communication played an important role in the process of selling business fund products by student organizations of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences. Verbal communication becomes the main means to explain product features in detail, offer the benefits that the product has, and provide clear and informative responses to buyers' questions. Meanwhile, nonverbal communication, through friendly facial expressions, eye contact, and body movements that show confidence, plays a role in reinforcing messages and building positive relationships with buyers.

Abstract

Abstrak: Disbudpar 2019 dan Disporapar 2020 mengupayakan penerapan IMC dalam menyiapkan Kota Malang sebagai tourism hub. Namun, belum ada data empiris tentang bagaimana implementasi dari elemen IMC yang dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis dan mengevaluasi penerapan IMC dalam menyiapkan Kota Malang sebagai tourism hub. Menggunakan metodologi penelitian kualitatif melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumen. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan IMC dalam menganalisis data penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat aktifitas implementasi IMC yang dilakukan oleh Disbudpar dan Disporapar , namun pada prosesnya perlu meningkatkan sinergi dan sosialisasi arah penerapan IMC kepada pelaku usaha wisata untuk membangun kesepahaman ekosistem pariwisata dalam proses pemasaran pariwisata menjadi tourism hub. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan sinergitas model Pentahelix ABGCM dan melakukan pembinaan serta sosialisasi penerapan IMC kepada pelaku wisata.
