Abstract

The purpose of this study was to study the importance of a sick and healthy mental condition and its healing methods, through the thoughts of Ibn Miskawaih by referring to one of his works, namely, Tahddzib Al-Akhlaq. This research found that Ibn Miskawaih's Islamic psychology was studied through the discourse of al-quwwah al-ghadabiyyah, which influenced the suffering of sadness or even depression, which had an impact on the human mind, using the discourse of philosophy of the soul, through philosophical studies, Ibn Miskawaih observes that the human soul's nervousness in processing and stimulating all aspects of reality has its roots in Suffering, depression, and sadness, mental illnesses often experienced by modern man.

Abstract

This research uncovers the impropriety of fast prayer Sambayang Marapas and reveals the Sufism values of the practitioners of Sambayang Marapas or fast parayer in Sulawesi. Based on the situation in the field, the worship has triggered the emergence of pro and contra debates. Because many parties have begun to view the practice of Samabayang Marapas as a deviation and classified as a cult and far from the values and practices of diversity in Islam, while for some people including worshipers see that Sambayang Marapas is a not deviant teaching because the originator of the fast prayer is a person known as an awali Allah, and the worshipers also hold that the only one has the right to judge the validity or invalidity of prayer is Allah SWT.

Abstract

This paper analyzes the thoughts of Haidar Bagir and Habib Ja'far regarding tolerance as a way of love in the context of a multicultural and multireligious Indonesian society. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a hermeneutic phenomenological approach, which focuses on analyzing the texts, lectures, and writings of the two figures. The purpose of this research is to understand how the idea of tolerance can be applied in facing the challenges of diversity in Indonesia. The results of the analysis show that Haidar Bagir emphasizes the importance of love as the foundation of tolerance, which must start from individual awareness, while Habib Ja'far invites people to prioritize compassion in interfaith interactions. Although the thoughts of both figures offer constructive solutions, challenges such as radicalization, the spread of hoaxes, and identity politics still hamper efforts to build tolerance. The conclusion of this study confirms that tolerance as a way of love is not just a concept, but a real action that must be realized in everyday life, with the support of various elements of society to create harmony in Indonesia.
