Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between economic growth and human development indicators in West Nusa Tenggara Province during the period of 2013–2023. Using a quantitative descriptive approach, the research utilizes secondary time series data collected through library research and documentation techniques from official institutions. The variables include Economic Growth (dependent) and four independent variables representing the dimensions of the Human Development Index (HDI): Life Expectancy, Average Years of Schooling, Expected Years of Schooling, and Per Capita Expenditure. Multiple linear regression analysis, supported by classical assumption tests and statistical evaluations (t-test, F-test, and adjusted R2), is employed to examine the data. The results indicate that, both partially and simultaneously, the HDI components do not have a significant effect on economic growth, suggesting an indirect relationship. The findings highlight the need for policy interventions that enhance the economic sector's value-added potential to promote job creation and improve HDI in the region.

Abstract

This study investigates the factors influencing labor productivity in the coconut oil industry in Kekeran Hamlet, Batu Layar Village, West Lombok Regency. Utilizing a quantitative approach, the research focuses on four independent variables—wages, age, work experience, and gender—while labor productivity serves as the dependent variable. Data were collected through surveys, interviews, and documentation involving 52 randomly selected respondents from a population of 108 workers. The analysis employed Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to assess the significance and contribution of each factor. The results show that wages are the most dominant factor affecting productivity, followed by gender differences. The study highlights the importance of adequate compensation and gender-sensitive approaches to enhance productivity in local resource-based industries. Recommendations for future research include the use of Common Factor Analysis for deeper exploration and comparison.

The results of the data analysis show that family labor has a positive and significant influence on production results in woven fabric craft centers. In addition, looms also have a positive and significant impact on production. Based on the results of testing the coefficient of determination, the R-Square value is 0.586, meaning that the variables of family labor and looms together affect the variable production result by 58.6%. While the remaining 41.4% is influenced by other variables outside this study. Follow-up recommendations from this research are to increase the training of family workers in more advanced weaving techniques and to promote the use of modern looms in these woven fabric craft centers.
