Abstract

The lack of education regarding the metaverse mall application for public services has left the public confused when engaging in public service activities within it. To address this issue, a trivia game titled "MPP Quiz" was created with the aim of understanding user responses to the implementation of an educational trivia game packaged with metaverse technology. The chosen research method is the waterfall model because its stages are well-suited for application in this study. The data collection method employed quantitative techniques by distributing questionnaires to respondents who had previously played the MPP Quiz game. After collecting the data, it was processed using the SPSS application to determine the level of validity, reliability, and correlation between the tested variables. Based on the conducted tests, it can be concluded that the MPP quiz game qualifies as an educational medium and introduction to the public service system in Semarang city, as the values of variables tested for validity, reliability, and correlation exceed the set standards.

Abstract

Observation data shows various problems experienced by elementary school students when learning about Greatest Common Factor (GCF) and Least Common Multiple (LCM). This research aims to: (1) understand the effectiveness of learning math through education game, (2)  introduce technology to students without interrupting their regular study time, and (3) increase students’  interest in learning math through education game. Sample used were 62 students in grade 5 and 6. The method of this research uses 4 variables, i.e. Performance Expectancy (PE), Effort Expectancy (EE), Hedonic Motivation (HM), and Behavioral Intention (BI). After the respondents have tried playing the game, they fill out Google form and the result obtained with 51 respondents.

Abstract

The government's restrictions on activities during the Covid-19 pandemic resulted in the closure of numerous activities. This has resulted in the closure of numerous businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises, as a result of a lack of customers. Therefore, a new invention was developed in the field of Entrepreneurial Lockers that enables transactions to be conducted without the need for face-to-face interaction and without the use of cash. This innovation entails the development of a website that serves as a digital ordering and payment system. In order to ensure that users feel secure while using the website, it is imperative to assess the website's data security to prevent the occurrence of any unintended events. The OWASP method is employed in this investigation to assess the security of the IoT-based entrepreneurial storage system in order to identify critical security vulnerabilities. The findings indicate that the system has satisfied numerous security standards; however, it necessitates improvement in the areas of access control, framework updates, and logging. This investigation offers suggestions for enhancing the security of data in IoT-based systems.

Abstract

ABC Coworking Space Company is a service provider offering event space, meeting rooms, private offices, and coworking spaces for professionals. The company faces financial accounting challenges, particularly in recording sales transactions due to the limitations of the free Point of Sales (POS) system used, and complex, error-prone manual accounting processes. This research aims to develop an Accounting Information System (AIS) integrated with POS and online booking using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The results show that the developed system minimizes inaccuracies in transaction recording, speeds up financial report preparation, and improves operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The implementation of online booking features also successfully enhances the customer experience. With this new system, the company can manage sales, expenses, and financial reports in one integrated platform, significantly improving financial and operational management. Testing through User Acceptance Testing with the Blackbox method and interviews with front desk, finance staff, and customers indicates that the system meets user needs effectively.

Abstract

The problem of plastic waste is being addressed in a variety of ways, ranging from manual waste sorting to reverse vending machines. On the other side, businesses are becoming increasingly concerned about waste management. Several ways to producing reverse vending machines have been tested, including the use of plastic sensors. However, the findings were unsatisfactory due to imprecise detection. This study looks into the use of ESP32-Cam combined with machine learning for high-precision plastic bottle detection in reverse vending machines. It is envisioned that high-precision plastic bottle detection would be used in reverse vending machines. It is intended that by providing an incentive for each identified plastic bottle, people will be motivated to collect plastic bottles and deposit them into reverse vending machines, thereby supporting digital humanities through enhanced waste management practices.

Abstract

Conventional waste management in Indonesia faces the challenge of inefficiency due to static transportation schedules, causing waste to pile up in crowded locations and becoming a source of environmental problems. This study aims to design and implement a smart trash can system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) as a solution to this problem. This system was developed using the Design and Build approach with the Waterfall model, integrating a Wemos microcontroller, infrared sensors for automatic opening and closing mechanisms, ultrasonic sensors for waste volume monitoring, and a web dashboard for centralized data visualization. The results of the study showed the success of the implementation of a functional prototype, starting from hardware assembly, firmware development on the microcontroller, to the backend system and database. System testing using the Black Box method showed that all main functional scenarios including user detection, automatic closing control, volume measurement, and sending data to the dashboard were 100% successful according to the design. This functional success proves that the developed prototype is a valid and potential solution to realize a more efficient, hygienic, and real-time monitorable waste management system, so that it can support better operational decision making
