Abstract

Oral literature in the Minangkabau language is known as the pasambahan manjapuik marapulai tradition. According to Minangkabau culture, this tradition is carried out at weddings. One type of reciprocal pasambahan is the pasambahan which is performed during the manjapuik marapulai event. Kanagarian Panampuang West Sumatra, Ampek Angkek District, Agam Regency became the location of this research. Determining the normative and empirical application of the pasambahan manjapuik marapulai tradition is the aim of this research. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research methodology. The purpose of qualitative descriptive research is to reveal facts, situations, and various phenomena that occur. Disclosure of the implementation of normative traditions associated with this inquiry. So, the writer will develop the concept and collect information related to the research subject. In-depth interviews and observations were used as data collection methods. While the qualitative descriptive data analysis method includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and making conclusions and suggestions. Based on the application of the study findings, there has been a shift from normative standards regarding roles, duties, and how they are carried out in the application of tradition. The pasambahan manjapuik marapulai tradition upholds moral principles which include humility, politeness, deliberation, thoroughness, and compliance with applicable customary law. Abstract

The Duano tribe has similarities with the Malay tribe, namely in terms of physical appearance, way of dressing, traditional customs and religious practices. This form of equality can be said to be a shared inheritance from previous generations. The aspects that are often adapted are in terms of economic, political, socio-cultural activities and marital relations. The identification of the problem in this research is how the social structure of life, social relations, economic relations, of the Duano tribe and other tribes. The aim of this research is to find out the social structure of life, social relations, economic relations, of the Duano tribe and other tribes in the village. Belaras, Mandah District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. In this research, the researcher used a type of research with a descriptive qualitative research method with ethnographic studies. The ethnographic research method is included in the qualitative research group whose characteristics are "researching informants as research subjects in their daily environment. Based on field data, the researcher obtained data on the number of informants in this research, namely five people consisting of one village head, one Duano tribal head (traditional head), as key informants, and supporting informants, one village official, one village resident as additional informant, so that the data obtained from the informants is increasingly strengthened and accurate by the presence of supporting informants. Based on research results, changes in the Duano tribe's economy occurred because of a relationship that existed between the Duano tribe and other tribes who needed each other. then a group is a group, namely a number of people who have a relationship with each other and strata or social stratification is a social phenomenon that cannot possibly be avoided, meaning that it will be found in every society. from the research is that the government always pays attention to life in remote places so that it can always provide assistance to the lives of remote communities. Apart from the government always paying attention to the lives of remote communities, the community itself must have its own way of meeting its daily needs, so that in this way it can be considered as a policy maker. Abstract

This research was conducted in Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency. This research aims to (1) determine the relationship between farm workers and oil palm plantation owners in Bathin Betuah village, Mandau sub-district, Bengkalis regency (2) Find out the impact of the relationship on the economic life of farm workers in Bathin Betuah village, Mandau sub-district, Bengkalis regency. This research used descriptive quantitative research methods, totaling 80 people with a sample of 67 respondents, sampling using the simple random sampling method. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the form of relationship between farm workers and plantation owners is as follows: the range of social relations, density of social relations, norms of social relations, and trust show the highest level with the average showing a percentage in the high category. Factors that influence agricultural workers in improving welfare can be seen from several indicators: income and housing conditions. These two factors greatly influence the level of welfare of members, where as the income of agricultural workers increases, the level of housing conditions will be much better. Abstract

ABSTRACT A farmers' group is a type of agricultural organization that collaborates closely with farmers to strengthen their farming operations. These farmers' groups serve as tangible and practical organizations. Some farmers' groups are also involved in other activities such as communal work, savings and loan programs, and various other efforts aimed at enhancing farming activities. In addition to their practical functions, farmers' groups also serve as educational platforms and encourage the active participation of their members. This research was conducted in Kuantan Mudik District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. This study aims (1) To determine the activities of rice farmer groups in improving the welfare of members (2) and to determine the factors that influence the role of rice farmer groups in improving welfare. This study used descriptive quantitative research methods totaling 51 people with a sample of 51 respondents sampling using census sampling techniques or taking all populations. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the role of rice farmer groups in improving the welfare of members is as follows; The activities of the Rice Farmer Group ranging from the utilization of natural resources, the procurement of production facilities, and increasing the productivity of agricultural businesses showed the highest level with an average percentage of 100.0% per activity. Factors that influence the role of rice farmer groups in improving welfare can be seen from the activities of rice farmer groups, namely: utilization of available natural resources, implementation of technology recommendations, procurement of production facilities, management and marketing of results, productivity of farming, increasing environmental sustainability. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was carried out in Pulau Mungkur Village, Gunung Toar District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The aim of this research is to explain the aims and procedures for Batobo in Pulau Mungkur Village, Gunung Toar District, Kuantan Singingi Regency and to determine the organizational structure and systems in Batobo activities in Pulau Mungkur Village, Gunung Toar District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The research subjects and informants involved in this research were 7 people, including 1 key informant, namely from Ninik Mamak in Pulau Mungkur Village and 6 subjects from the Batobo group in Pulau Mungkur Village, Gunung Toar District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The methods used are observation, documentation and in-depth interviews. Checking data from various sources is carried out through technical triangulation as an effort to increase the researcher's understanding of what has been found. The results of the research carried out show that the aim of Batobo is to speed up the work of rice fields compared to individuals. In Batobo in Pulau Mungkur Village there are procedures for activities, the first is Malawe, namely hoeing the rice fields for the first time, then Mangamolan, namely hoeing for the second time, next,malunyah, namely trampling the fields, the aim of which is to loosen and facilitate the rice planting process, and finally rice harvest process. In Batobo there is a Ninik Mamak who determines the time to go down to the fields, there is a Batobo Chairman who organizes the group, there is a Tobo Secretary and also a Treasurer in the Batobo group.
