Abstract

Ekosistem mangrove merupakan ekosistem pesisir yang memainkan peran penting dalam menjaga keseimbangan lingkungan, seperti melindungi pantai dari abrasi, menyediakan habitat bagi fauna laut, dan menyerap karbon secara efektif. Oleh karena itu, pelestarian mangrove harus melibatkan pendidikan, terutama untuk meningkatkan literasi sains ekowisata, yang mencakup pengetahuan dan keterampilan untuk memahami dan mengelola ekosistem secara berkelanjutan. Project-Based Learning (PjBL) menawarkan pendekatan efektif dengan melibatkan siswa dalam kegiatan langsung terkait lingkungan, seperti pengelolaan dan pelestarian mangrove. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar PjBL berbasis ekosistem mangrove dan mengevaluasi efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan literasi sains ekowisata siswa di SMAN 1 Lembar. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar PjBL berbasis ekosistem mangrove dan mengevaluasi efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan literasi sains ekowisata siswa di SMAN 1 Lembar.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi sains ekowisata siswa, dengan nilai n-gain 72 kategori tinggi dan 67 kategori sedang. Siswa juga menunjukkan antusiasme dan keterlibatan yang tinggi dalam pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Dengan demikian, pendekatan ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang ekosistem mangrove dan keterampilan praktis dalam pelestarian serta pemanfaatan berkelanjutan ekosistem tersebut.

Abstract

This study is a literature review which aims to identify the most effective learning model for improving students' scientific literacy skills in biology learning. 25 articles were obtained from search results on Google Scholar that met the relevant criteria for review. The results of a review of 25 articles show that there are many learning models that can be used to improve scientific literacy skills. The most effective learning model in increasing scientific literacy is Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL).

Abstract

Rawa Taliwang Lake is one of the lakes in West Sumbawa Regency which is surrounded by mining. Mining waste in the form of mercury can accumulate in tilapia fish which are consumed by many people around the lake consumption of tilapia fish with mercury content can endanger health. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of mercury in tilapia fish from Rawa Taliwang Lake. This research was conducted for six months, starting from September 2022 to March 2023. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling method using 2 station points. The samples used were 3 fish taken from station 1 and station 2. Sample analysis was carried out in the analytical laboratory and environmental of West Nusa Tenggara using AAS (atomic absorption spectrophotometry). The part that was analyzed was the tilapia fish meat. The results of the analysis showed that the mercury content in tilapia fish from Rawa Taliwang Lake was 0.73 mg/kg which exceeded the Hg contamination limit set by the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency regulation no 9 of 2022. So tilapia fish from Rawa Taliwang Lake was unfit for consumption. The results of this study can be used as additional material in the learning process of ecotoxicology
