Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of education level, age, gender, wage, and job training on the duration of job search in West Nusa Tenggara Province. This study uses a type of research that is quantitative with secondary data. Data is obtained from SAKERNAS in 2023. The amount of data obtained was 190 educated workers. The analytical tool used is multiple linear regression, determination coefficient test (R2), t test and simultaneous regression coefficient significance test (f test). The results of this study indicate that the variables of education level, age, gender, wage, and job training simultaneously have a significant effect on the length of time looking for work. While the value of R2 is 0.062, this means that 6.2% of the length of time looking for work of educated workers is influenced by the variables above and the rest is influenced by other variables outside this study.

The sample of this research is Indonesian migrant workers in Sakra village. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires directly to 40 Indonesian migrant workers in Sakra village. The statistical method uses logistic regression analysis (binary logistic), Wald test, and pseudo R² with the results of income, education, and number of family dependents having a positive influence on the decision to re-migrate Indonesian migrant workers in Sakra village, age having a significant negative influence and marital status having a significant influence positively influencing the decision to re-migrate Indonesian migrant workers in Sakra village.

So this informal sector can be used as a job and source of income and maximise profits by working on activities in the informal sector. This study aims to analyse the determinants of income of informal sector workers in Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara. This study uses multiple linear regression method and quantitative approach to examine the impact of variables such as education level, training, gender, and working time on the income of informal sector workers in Mataram City. A sample of 180 people was selected through purposive sampling, with the main data coming from Statistics Indonesia and the 2022 National Labour Force Survey. The results show that training individually has a negative and significant impact on the income of informal sector workers in Mataram City, while working time has a positive and significant impact. However, education and gender have no significant impact individually. Abstract

The role of the Office of International Affairs (OIA) at Mataram University in supporting international cooperation is crucial in efforts to support the sustainable development agenda. This outreach activity aims to analyze the contribution of the Global Volunteering Exchange 2025 program, a collaboration between the OIA at Mataram University and UiTM Shah Alam, Malaysia, in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The activities were carried out through four main pillars: (1) mangrove planting and beach cleanup, (2) hygiene education, (3) STEM programs, and (4) cultural exchange. These four pillars are directly linked to relevant SDG targets. The methods used included field observations, interviews with participants, and documentary studies. The results of the activity indicate that the program successfully enhanced the awareness and capacity of the local community in Lombok in terms of environmental, health, education, and cross-cultural understanding. The program also underscores the role of the OIA as a strategic facilitator in bridging international collaboration for sustainable local development. Recommendations from the activity include the need for program continuity and increased community participation to ensure that benefits are distributed equitably.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of age, husband's education, and husband's occupation on children's educational decision-making within the family. This study used a logistic regression model. The results showed that only the husband's education had a significant influence on children's independence in education. Meanwhile, the variables of age and husband's occupation did not show a significant influence. The regression coefficient indicates that the higher the husband's education level, the greater the likelihood of children receiving a better education. However, the regression model used in this study was only able to explain approximately 6.05% of the variation in children's educational independence. This study concluded that the husband's education was the only factor that significantly influenced independence, while the husband's age and type of occupation did not. For a better model, it is necessary to add other variables that may be more relevant. Keywords: Age, Husband’s Education, Husband’s Occupation, Independence, Children’s Education, Logistic Regression.
