Abstrak: Dalam pelaksanaan praktikum kimia di laboratorium, praktikan wajib menerapkan prinsip K3 (Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja) hal ini berkaitan dengan prinsip pendidikan karakter yang mengacu pada sikap dan etika peserta didik, penelitian ini menganalisis pentingnya pendidikan karakter dalam memengaruhi keberhasilan dalam praktikum di laboratorium dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui kuesioner pada Google Formulir yang melibatkan 50 responden, 19 orang mahasiswa jurusan kimia, 4 orang mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan kimia, 7 orang mahasiswa jurusan farmasi, dan 20 orang yang memiliki pengalaman praktikum di laboratorium kimia. Hasil yang didapatkan melalui kuisioner yaitu sebanyak 82% responden menyatakan pendidikan karakter dalam melakukan praktikum kimia memiliki sifat yang sangat penting, sedangkan 18% diantaranya menyatakan penting. Penerapan etika pendidikan karakter di laboratorium kimia yaitu sikap jujur, disiplin, tanggung jawab, kerjasama, dan teliti yang ditandai dengan frekuensinya yang menunjukkan selalu, sering, kadang-kadang, jarang, dan tidak pernah.Abstract: In carrying out chemistry practicum in the laboratory, practitioners are required to apply the K3 (Occupational Health and Safety) principles. This is related to the principle of character education which refers to the attitudes and ethics of students. This research analyzes the importance of character education in influencing success in practicum in the laboratory using an approach qualitatively through a questionnaire on Google Forms involving 50 respondents, 19 students majoring in chemistry, 4 students majoring in chemistry education, 7 students majoring in pharmacy, and 20 people who have practical experience in chemistry laboratories. The results obtained through the questionnaire were that 82% of respondents stated that character education in carrying out chemistry practicum was very important, while 18% of them stated that it was important. The application of character education ethics in the chemistry laboratory is an attitude of honesty, discipline, responsibility, cooperation and thoroughness which is characterized by frequency indicating always, often, sometimes, rarely and never.
