Abstract

HIV infection in Indonesia is one of the health problems and infectious diseases that can affect maternal and child mortality. More than 90% of HIV-infected infants are infected by HIV-positive mothers. Transmission can occur during pregnancy, during delivery and during breastfeeding. Early detection of HIV is important so that antiretroviral virus (ARV) drug therapy is carried out more quickly to reduce the rate of HIV transmission from mother to baby. The research, which was conducted at the Balongan Subdistrict Health Center, Indramayu Regency, was conducted to determine the determinants associated with HIV testing behavior during pregnancy. This type of research is quantitative with a cross-sectional study design using the total population. The results of the univariate analysis showed that 71.1% of mothers did not take an HIV test during pregnancy. and education about HIV/AIDS, because the husband is the closest person to the mother so that the husband makes a big contribution to providing support to the mother

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with the highest maternal mortality rate (MMR) in Asia compared to other ASEAN countries, reaching 359 maternal deaths per 100,000 births. This study aims to determine the Factors Affecting Sectio Caesarea Delivery in Regional General Hospitals Padangsidimpuan City 2018. The research design is an observational analytic study with a case control design and takes 100 respondents, consisting of 50 cases and 50 controls. Data collection was carried out using a check list sheet which was carried out in July 2018. The results of the hypothesis test showed that there was an effect of maternal age (p=0.001; OR 10.5), fetal position abnormalities (p=0.004; OR 9.2), prolonged labor (p=0.005; OR 8.5), premature rupture of membranes ( p=<0.000 OR 23.1), and placenta previa (p=0.001; OR 60.3) with cesarean section delivery and there was no effect of macrosomia (large baby) with cesarean section delivery (p=0.092) in Padangsidimpuan City Hospital. The dominant variable was placenta previa (p=0.001; OR 60.3; 95% CI 5,437-668,215). It is recommended to pregnant women to provide information about sectio caesarea and provide counseling to mothers who check their pregnancy so that mothers better understand risky conditions and can prepare themselves to avoid them.

Intrauterine contraceptives are devices or objects that are inserted into the uterus which are very effective, reversible and long-term, and can be used by all women of reproductive age. The study design was an observational analytic survey with a case-control design that was conducted by comparing those who did not use an intrauterine device (IUD) as a case with those who used an intrauterine device (IUD) as a control. The sampling method in this study is proportional. The population in this study were women with pus with a total sample of 96 people. The results of the bivariate analysis of knowledge p = 0.000 value obtained OR 9.348 (95% CI: 3.157-27.678), attitude p = 0.567 OR 0.567 (95% CI: 0.240-1.340), husband's support p = 0.031 value OR 2.929 (95% CI : 1,076-7,971) Service KB p = value 0.000 OR 5,909 (95% CI: 2,290-15,248). The most influential multivariate results from knowledge p = value 0.001 OR 6.472. The conclusion of the research is the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, husband's support and family planning services. And the most influential factor in choosing an IUD is the husband's attitude and support.
