Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) 8-9% of women will experience breast cancer, this makes breast cancer the most common type of cancer in women. The purpose of this study was to determine "the relationship between knowledge and attitudes about breast self-examination (BSE) in women of childbearing age (WCA) in Sigulang Village". This research is descriptive in which a sample of 30 respondents obtained using a questionnaire was processed by editing, coding, tabulating, scoring and then presented in the form of a frequency distribution table. From the research results obtained frequency distribution based on the knowledge of the majority of less knowledgeable 24 respondents (80%). Based on the age, the majority of respondents lack knowledge of 21 (69 ,72 %) with the age of 20-40 years. Based on education, the majority of respondents lack knowledge of 18 (60%) with high school education. Based on the occupation, the majority of respondents are less knowledgeable than 18 respondents (60%) with the occupation of housewives. Based on information sources, the majority of respondents lack knowledge of 18 (60%) from electronic media. It can be concluded that the knowledge of women of childbearing age about breast self-examination is still lacking.

Abstract

Breast milk consists of several elements such as water, enzymes, nutrients, hormones, antibodies which are difficult for humans to imitate. One of the factors that cause a lack of breastfeeding is less milk production. Many factors cause a lack of smooth breastfeeding, namely problems with the mother, including inverted nipples, mastitis or breast abscess, swollen breasts, and sore nipples. In infants, it is generally an error in lactation management, which causes a decrease in milk production. The purpose of this study was to determine how the effect of soy bean milk on increasing breast milk production in postpartum mothers in Salambue Village, Southeast Padangsidimpuan District. The type of research used is experimental research with a prettest posttest only control group design. Using purposive sampling with the number of respondents as many as 8 people, namely the experimental group respondents as many as 4 people and the control group as many as 4 people. Based on the results of the study, it showed that there was an effect of giving soy bean milk to the increase in breast milk production in postpartum mothers in Salambue Village, Southeast Padangsidimpuan District with p-value <0.05 it mean Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

Acceptor Family Planning (KB) is Couple Age Fertile (EFA) who use wrong one tools / drugs contraception . Although the family planning program has been declared quite successful in Indonesia, in its implementation so far there are still obstacles that are felt, among others, that there are still many couples of childbearing age (PUS) who are still not participants in family planning. Population in study this is couple age fertile who are not use tool contraception in Village Sigulang District Southeast Padangsidimpuan Year 2022 as many 25 PUS. It is hoped that health workers will held more counselling enterprising again so motivating respondents who have knowledgeable good for want to use tool contraception.

Abstract

Insufficient breast milk is the main reason for a mother to stop breastfeeding early, mother feel that he does not have sufficient milk production to meet the needs of the baby and support increase heavy body baby which adequate because breast milk no out or production not enough fluent. Care that effective for multiply production breast milk Among other with To do care breast or breast care with guard cleanliness and (massage) breasts, and massage oxytocin. Massage oxytocin have some very helpful benefits for mothers after childbirth and also can reduce physical discomfort and improve mood. Massages done in along bone behind this could relax tension on back and relieve stress so that it can facilitate the release of breast milk. Meanwhile, according to Department of health RI massage oxytocin could reduce swollen, reduce blockage breast milk, and maintain milk production when mother and baby are sick. Type of research used is quantitative, is research which done with the aim of making description or description something state objectively. Results data collection individual and family where amount mother breast-feed as much 30 person, held with counseling and use tool in the form of questionnaire for measure how mother's knowledge, and it was obtained that knowledge mom about the benefits of oxytocin massage in increase production breast milk majority knowledgeable not enough that is 29 person (96.7%), the minority with sufficient knowledge is 1 person (3.3%) and has good knowledge no there is (0%).

Abstract

Smoking is a habit of smoking cigarettes that is carried out in everyday life, is a necessity that cannot be avoided for people who have a tendency towards smoking. Cigarettes are one of the addictive substances that can lead to dependence for the wearer. The addictive nature of cigarettes comes from the nicotine they contain. After someone inhales cigarette smoke, within 7 seconds nicotine will reach the brain. All health experts including the World Health Organization (WHO) have long concluded that smoking has many negative health impacts, especially for children and their future. Cigarettes contain 4000 chemicals with 200 types of which are carcinogenic (can cause cancer), where these toxic materials are found in the main smoke, namely cigarette smoke which is inhaled directly into the smoker's lungs and side smoke, namely cigarette smoke produced by the tip of the cigarette that is burning, for example carbon monoxide, benzopyrene, and ammonia. This PKM activity aims to increase the knowledge of teenagers at SMA N 8 Padangsidimpuan about the dangers of smoking by providing education related to efforts to increase knowledge about MKJP. The method used in carrying out this activity is through lectures and discussions. The results of this PKM activity aim to increase knowledge by providing Communication, Information and Education (IEC) with good KIE there will be a communication process with the dissemination of information that accelerates behavior change from the community.

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea pain causes 50% of all women in the world to suffer. In 2008, there were around 54.89% cases of primary dysmenorrhea in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the rest are sufferers in the secondary category. This pain makes women unable and unable to carry out activities and activities so that it can reduce the individual's quality of life. Dysmenorrhea is caused by the production of prostaglandin F2 alpha originating from endometrial cells in excessive amounts. One way that can be done to treat dysmenorrhea is with acupressure. This research was conducted in Sigulang Village, Padangsidempuan Tenggara District, with the aim of increasing knowledge and insight towards school-age adolescent girls. In order to reduce dysmenorrhea or menstrual pain non-pharmacologically by massaging using acupressure techniques. This research uses the Pre Experimental Design method in the research process. Counseling on acupressure techniques and assistance were carried out during this research process. After being given training and knowledge about dysmenorrhoea, young women can understand the benefits of acupressure massage to reduce menstrual pain or dysmenorrhoea. There was an increase in knowledge with a score of 81.81% of teenagers with good knowledge and 18.18% in the sufficient category.
