Abstract

Milk eczema is a chronic, recurring skin inflammation accompanied by itching that is often experienced by infants. This milk eczema problem is actually not caused by breast milk (ASI) because from the results of a study conducted by Osborn (2007) it was found that babies who received breast milk intake for a longer time were less likely to experience milk eczema when compared to babies who had been given formula milk or solid food too early. The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge and attitudes of mothers about milk eczema in infants (0-24 months) in Sianipar Sihail Hail Village, Balige District, Toba Regency in 2024. The design of this study was descriptive with a cross-sectional approach with a sample size of 38 people with a total sampling method. This study was conducted from October to November 2024. Abstract

Immunization is an act of providing immunity to children against diseases that can be prevented by immunization before the age of 12 months, namely tuberculosis, polio, hepatitis B, diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus and measles. Complete and regular basic immunization by receiving all types of basic immunization when children are less than 11 months old can reduce morbidity and mortality rates for toddlers by around 80-95%. Incomplete basic immunization, maximum can only provide 25-40% protection. The role of a mother in the immunization program is very important, because the use of health facilities by babies/children is related to factors that influence the mother. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between factors that influence mothers on basic immunization status in babies aged 12-24 months.
