Abstract

Medan, as the capital of North Sumatra, is experiencing rapid growth which increases demand for transportation infrastructure. This condition causes various problems, such as difficulties in spatial planning and transportation problems on main roads. Therefore, research was conducted to evaluate the volume, characteristics and performance of traffic on Jalan Jamin Ginting Km.12, Lau Cih Village to Jalan Jamin Ginting Km. 21 Namoriam Pancur Batu Village. Data collection methods involve direct surveys, including traffic volume, speed, and road capacity. From the survey results, it is clear that during the morning peak hours the traffic volume from the direction of Pancur - Lau Cih is greater than the opposite, in contrast to the non-peak hours of the afternoon and evening peak hours, it is known that the traffic volume from the direction of Pancur - Lau Cih is greater than that from Lau Tch - Pancur and the condition of the 4/2 D road with a capacity value of 5,474 pcu/hour can still accommodate traffic flow in the next 10 years. For peak hours (morning and afternoon) because the DS value is very close to service level category A, namely 0.07 at morning peak hours, and 0.14 at afternoon peak hours so that the road service level is included in category A (DS<0.54) for morning and evening peak hours, category A (DS<0.35) for afternoon non-peak hours. Jalan Jamin Ginting is still able to serve vehicle volumes as evidenced by the results of calculating the degree of saturation, namely 0.633 < 0.75, which is a requirement for the maximum road performance limit. Even though the road is still able to accommodate the volume of vehicles, other problems such as the Pancur Batu market also affect the road's performance.

Abstract

Access to clean water in Silima Banua Village is a quite complex problem. The government then carried out construction of community drinking water reservoirs. After construction was completed, research was carried out on drinking water reservoirs. This research examines the impact of the construction of drinking water reservoirs on the availability of clean water, public health and the quality of infrastructure in Silimabanua Umbunasi Village, South Nias Regency. Data was collected through surveys, interviews, and field observations to analyze changes in access to clean water before and after development, its impact on public health, and the physical quality of water reservoirs. The research results show a significant increase in the availability of clean water after construction, which positively affects public health. Apart from that, the physical quality of the water reservoir is assessed as meeting established standards. Community participation, local government support, and drinking water quality were also identified as important factors in the success of this project.

Abstract

Project delays are caused by lack of good control, which affects the time and cost of completion, in determining and knowing the time performance and cost performance of the SP. Armed-Rumah Great Road Construction Project, Biru-Biru District, Deli Serdang Regency. Using the Earned Value method. Based on the results, the results of the time performance from month 1 to month 3 of the project experienced delays, this is indicated by the Schedule Variant (SV) indicator which has a negative value of Rp. - 356,103,446.04 or Schedule Performance Index (SPI) = 0.828 <1. In the 4th month it was faster than the planned schedule, this is indicated by the Schedule Variant (SV) indicator which has a positive value of Rp. 96,183,088.74 or Schedule Performance Index (SPI) = 1.019>1. And in the 5th and 6th months the schedule performance index (SPI) value shows a value of 1 which means that the construction project work is in accordance. Meanwhile, for cost performance from month 1 to month 3, it incurred smaller costs than planned, this is indicated by the negative Cost Variance (CV) indicator of Rp. -150,413,906.18 or Cost Performance Index (CPI) = 0.920 <1. In month 4 to month 6, the Cost Variance CV value is above the X axis with a positive value of Rp. 829,560,555.98 or Cost Performance Index (CPI) = 1.110 >1 due to the addition of labor and additional working hours in project implementation.
