Abstract

This research aims to improve teachers' professional competence in implementing the Recitation Learning Method through workshops at Dharma Bakti Private High School, SMAN 1 Namorambe, SMAS Nusantara Lubuk Pakam. The method used in this research is the school action research method through 2 cycles, where each cycle has stages: (1) Planning, (2) Implementation and Observation, (3) Evaluation and (4) Reflection. The subjects in this research were teachers who taught at Dharma Bakti Private High School, SMAN 1 Namorambe, SMAS Nusantara Lubuk Pakam with a total of 40 teachers. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation studies. The data analysis technique used in this research is to calculate the percentage of the number of teachers who have been able to apply the Recitation Learning Method and the percentage of the number of teachers who have not been able to apply the Recitation Learning Method in the classroom. The research results show: (1). There was an increase in the number of teachers who applied the Recitation Learning Method from 40 teachers, only 30 (75.0%) teachers applied the Recitation Learning Method in cycle I then increased in cycle II to 36 (90.02%) teachers who were able to apply the Learning Method Recitation of the learning process in the classroom; (2) There was a decrease in the number of teachers who were unable to apply the Recitation learning method, out of 40 teachers, as many as 10 (25%) teachers were not able to apply the Recitation Learning Method in cycle I then in cycle II there was a decrease in the number of teachers who were not able to apply the Recitation Learning Method Recitation, there are 4 (10.0%) teachers who have not been able to implement the Recitation Learning Method completely; (3) Teachers' professional competence in implementing the Recitation Learning Method can be improved through workshops.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru dalam menerapkan Model pembelajaran Probing Prompting melalui workshop di SMA Swasta Dharma Bakti, SMAN 1 Namorambe, SMAS Nusantara Lubuk Pakam. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian tindakan sekolah melalui 2 siklus, dimana masing-masing siklus memiliki tahap: (1) Perencanaan, (2) Pelaksanaan dan Pengamatan, (3) Evaluasi dan (4) Refleksi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru guru yang mengajar di SMA Swasta Dharma Bakti, SMAN 1 Namorambe, SMAS Nusantara Lubuk Pakam Kabupaten Deli Serdang dengan jumlah 40 orang guru. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik observasi, wawancara, kuesioner dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan perhitungan persentase jumlah guru yang sudah mampu menerapkan model pembelajaran Probing Prompting dan persentase jumlah guru yang belum mampu menerapkan model pembelajaran Probing Prompting di dalam kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1). Terdapat peningkatan jumlah guru yang menerapkan model pembelajaran Probing Prompting dari 40 orang guru, baru 30 (75,02%) guru menerapkan model pembelajaran Probing Prompting pada siklus I kemudian meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 36 (90%) guru yang sudah mampu menerapkan model pembelajaran Probing Prompting pada proses pembelajaran di dalam kelas; (2) Terdapat penurunan jumlah guru yang tidak mampu menerapkan model pembelajaran Probing Prompting, dari 40 orang guru, sebanyak 10 (25,0%) guru belum mampu menerapkan model pembelajaran Probing Prompting pada siklus I kemudian pada siklus II terjadi penurunan jumlah guru yang belum mampu menerapkan model pembelajaran Probing Prompting, menjadi 4 (10,0%) guru yang belum mampu menerapkan model pembelajaran Probing Prompting secara utuh; (3) Kompetensi profesional guru dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran Probing Prompting dapat meningkat melalui workshop.
