Abstract

Background: Changes due to pregnancy are experienced by all women, starting from the digestive system, cardiovascular and musculoskeletal systems. Gradual bodily changes from a pregnant woman's increased weight cause the woman's posture and gait to change. Increased abdominal distension which makes the pelvis tilt forward, decreased abdominal muscle tone and the center of gravity shifts forward so that there is a tendency for the waist muscles to shorten if the abdominal muscles are stretched, causing an imbalance in the pelvic muscles which can cause discomfort in the lower back and also have an impact on lowering the baby's head. Objective: This study was to determine the relationship between using a gymball and lowering the fetal head in third trimester pregnant women.Method: This research uses primary and secondary data with a case study approach, namely providing complementary care in the form of using a gym ball to help lower the fetal head. Results: Pregnant women in the third trimester experienced head loss when using a gym ball. Conclusion: Based on the results of data analysis, using a gymball can help the decline process.Suggestion: It is hoped that PMB in Pesanggrahan village will become a forum and facilitator for pregnant women and women giving birth whose first stage is abnormal by using a gym ball to help lower the head and speed up the labor process.

One of the factors that causes anxiety in postpartum mothers is trauma caused during childbirth which causes anxiety. Handling anxiety in postpartum mothers can be done non-pharmacologically, namely with jasmine aromatherapy candles. This research aims to determine how giving jasmine aromatherapy candles reduces anxiety in postpartum mothers using qualitative research with case studies and data sources and types of data using interviews, examinations and observations. The implementation technique was carried out by Mrs. L by giving jasmine aromatherapy candles for approximately 10-15 minutes a day and giving aromatherapy to Mrs. L 6 times. The use of aromatherapy candles recommended to Mrs. L is done at night by placing an aromatherapy candle next to the bed so that the postpartum mother can inhale it. Giving jasmine aromatherapy candles to Mrs. L for 6 days, the results showed that Mrs. L felt more relaxed than before he was given the jasmine aromatherapy candle, as indicated by the mother feeling less anxious about caring for her baby and being mildly anxious, so giving the jasmine aromatherapy candle had an impact on reducing Mrs. L's anxiety. Abstract

The postpartum period is a transitional period characterized by physiological and psychological changes. A common problem is disruption of the breastfeeding process, particularly the production of breast milk. Non-pharmacological efforts such as lactation massage can help increase breast milk production. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of lactation massage on the smooth production of breast milk in postpartum mothers using a qualitative case study method, with data obtained through interviews, examinations, and observations. The intervention carried out on Mrs. A was a lactation massage for 15–20 minutes, twice by the researcher and 10 times by her husband with a recommended frequency of massage twice a day in the morning and evening focusing on the breast area. Providing lactation massage to Mrs. A resulted in a significant increase in breast milk production, from 1 ml on the first day to 70 ml on the sixth day. Therefore, lactation massage is effective in increasing breast milk production and can be a supporting method in overcoming breastfeeding obstacles in postpartum mothers.

Abstract

Pregnancy is a physiological process that brings about various physical changes, one of which is lower back pain, commonly occurring in the third trimester. Hormonal changes, weight gain, and a shift in the body’s center of gravity are the primary factors contributing to this complaint. Back pain can interfere with daily activities and reduce the quality of life for pregnant women. One non-pharmacological method that can be used to alleviate pain is warm compress therapy. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of warm compresses in reducing the intensity of back pain in third-trimester pregnant women. The method used is a case study with a descriptive observational approach and the 7-step Varney management (SOAP). The subject of the study is Mrs. A, at 39 weeks of pregnancy, who received regular warm compress therapy. The results showed a significant decrease in pain, from an average pain scale of 7 to 4 after the intervention. Warm compresses provide muscle relaxation, increase blood circulation, and reduce muscle tension due to ischemia. Based on the gate control theory, warm compresses suppress pain perception in the brain and provide comfort for pregnant women.
