Abstract

Educational institutions, both formal and non-formal, will need rules to regulate the educational process, in this case it can be referred to as the curriculum. Thus indirectly the curriculum is one of the instruments of educational institutions, including education in Islamic boarding schools or Islamic boarding schools, which are institutions that can be said to be a manifestation of the natural process of the development of the national education system. From a historical point of view, pesantren are not only synonymous with Islam, but also contain the meaning of Indonesian authenticity (indigenous). This is because an institution similar to a pesantren has actually existed since the Hindu-Buddhist era. So that Islam only has to continue and Islamize existing educational institutions. This type of research is a literature study. This literature study prioritizes and builds the Islamic Education Curriculum Concept at Islamic Boarding Schools in the Industrial Age 4.0. The concept of the idea of ​​Islamic Education Curriculum at Islamic Boarding Schools. The role of the Islamic education curriculum goes hand in hand with Islamic boarding schools as a place to gain Islamic knowledge. Pondok Pesantren is a place to provide space for self-actualization for someone who follows the instructions from the curriculum, both in terms of learning and enriching one's potential

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies and develop an effective model of character education based on religious values in response to the challenges posed by globalization. While globalization positively impacts technological advancement and information accessibility, it also triggers moral crises, value disorientation, and character degradation, particularly among the younger generation. This research adopts a qualitative approach using the literature review method, examining various sources related to character education and religious values within global education. The findings indicate that effective character education strategies must integrate spiritual, moral, and cognitive dimensions into formal and non-formal curricula through contextual, participatory, and sustainable approaches. The developed character education model emphasizes inclusivity, contextual relevance, and the involvement of all stakeholders, including teachers, school principals, families, and communities. Religious values such as honesty, responsibility, and tolerance are the foundation for shaping students' character. This study recommends policy synergy between central and local governments, continuous teacher training, and the utilization of digital technology as a medium for teaching religious values. Through this approach, character education can foster a generation with integrity that is resilient against the negative influences of globalization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengembangan kurikulum Pendidikan Jarak Jauh (PJJ) Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dengan Kepala Jurusan dan beberapa Tutor Pendidikan Jarak Jauh (PJJ) Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. Hasil Penelitian menemukan bahwa pengembangan kurikulum Pendidikan Jarak Jauh (PJJ) Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon yaitu 1. Menggunakan kurikulum yang dirancang oleh Team Pendidikan Jarak Jauh (PJJ) Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon, 2. Materi pembelajaran yaitu Pendidikan Agama Islam dengan memperhatikan kearifan lokal dan Cyber Culture, 3. Menerapkan prisip yang meliputi prinsip relevansi, fleksibilitas, beragam dan terpadu, menyeluruh & berkesinambungan, praktis belajar, seimbang dan efektif 4. Menggunakan metode pembelajaran seperti ceramah, e modul, diskusi, penugasan dan skrip video 5. Menggunakan pendekatan kritis tehadap mahasiswa untuk berpikir dan kreatif 6. Evaluasi yang digunakan yaitu evaluasi Proses belajar Synchronous dan Asynchronous Learning (ASL) dan hasil belajar, dari proses ujian (baik ujian tengah semester maupun ujian semester). Data diatas adalah upaya untuk mengembangkan kurikulum PAI guna meningkatkan Mutu Pembelajaran PAI di PJJ PAI IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon.
