Abstract

This research aims to describe the role and obstacles faced by teachers in implementing PPKn learning as political education for beginner voters at public high schools in Yogyakarta City. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data analysis used includes data collection, data reduction, presentation and conclusions. The results of this research are as follows. 1) The role of teachers as instructors is to provide understanding and direction regarding the form of active participation of novice voters as citizens in casting their right to vote correctly. 2) The role of teachers as educators is to instill political values ​​and try to influence the political orientation of novice voters so that they have political awareness, political concern and political participation. 3) The role of the teacher as a guide is to guide and direct students to have knowledge, skills and independence in carrying out national and state life. 2) The obstacles faced by teachers are as follows. (a) There are still students who are less interested in politics, they are less enthusiastic and pay less attention to the teacher's explanations, so that the instillation of political values ​​is less than optimal. (b) There are still students who have a negative view of politics and think that politics only prioritizes the interests of certain groups. (c) The voting behavior of novice voter students still depends very much on their parents' choices, not on their political awareness.

Abstract

The multicultural Indonesian nation is a potential that can be developed to improve prosperity and progress. However, this condition also has the potential to cause conflict between ethnicities, religions and cultures. Apart from that, the diversity in this country also has the potential to trigger SARA (Ethnic, Religious, Racial, Inter-Group) conflicts, this is one of the causes of damage to the unity of the Indonesian nation. However, a sense of unity and oneness is very much needed to maintain national sovereignty. SARA conflicts do not only occur in society in general but can also occur in the school environment. Therefore, multiculturalism education is needed that can provide students with an understanding of the meaning of multiculturalism in community life to create a multicultural society that respects each other and is able to live side by side peacefully (a democratic multicultural society).

Abstract

Korupsi merupakan sebuah kejahatan moral yang bukan hanya akan menyengsarakan rakyat namun juga akan mencoreng harkat dan martabat bangsa Indonesia. Menyikapi fenomena korupsi yang semakin marak terjadi, dunia pendidikan harus melakukan pembenahan untuk menjawab tantangan derasnya arus korupsi. Lembaga pendidikan memiliki posisi yang sangat strategis dalam menanamkan mental antikorupsi. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan pendidikan antikorupsi. Pendidikan antikorupsi merupakan usaha sadar untuk memberi pemahaman dan pencegahan terjadinya perbuatan korupsi yang dilakukan melalui pendidikan formal di sekolah, pendidikan informal pada lingkungan keluarga, dan pendidikan non formal di masyarakat. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menjadikan siswa sebagai subjek pengabdian karena mereka adalah calon orang white collar, orang-orang yang berpendidikan baik yang ada di jabatan-jabatan strategis, dan siswa sekolah dasar merupakan calon orang yang akan bekerja pada posisi-posisi strategis yang rentan melakukan tindak pidana korupsi nantinya. Film adalah media yang paling efektif dalam upaya pembelajaran masyarakat. Salah satu film yang terkandung makna penanaman nilai-nilai pendidikan antikorupsi adalah film animasi dari Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK).

Abstract

Film is an effective medium for raising environmental awareness due to its visual appeal and ability to convey messages in an engaging manner. Films are not only entertaining but also convey ideologies that can influence audience attitudes and behavior, including fostering environmental stewardship. Waste management remains a serious issue in Indonesia, including in Longkeyang Village, Pemalang. Lack of public awareness of the importance of environmental protection is evident in the habit of littering, burning, and the lack of facilities such as landfills (TPA), waste disposal sites (TPST), or waste banks. Low levels of education and the lack of supporting media exacerbate this situation. Recognizing this urgency, this Community Service Program (PKM) activity aims to increase the understanding and awareness of Longkeyang Village residents regarding waste management based on the concept of ecological citizenship. This concept emphasizes citizens' responsibility in protecting the environment as part of national character and morals. Through a creative and communicative educational approach, this PKM activity utilizes the short film "Pulau Plastik," a documentary, as a socialization tool. By leveraging the power of cinema as an educational medium, this activity can empower the community through an applied artistic approach.
