Abstract

Kinerja merupakan indikator keberhasilan suatu organisasi dalam mencapai tujuan, sasaran, misi, dan visinya. Penelitian ini membahas tentang rencana pengawasan klinis yang dirancang oleh Kepala MTsN 1 Probolinggo bertujuan untuk membimbing dan meningkatkan kinerja para guru. Perencanaan tersebut melibatkan langkah-langkah terstruktur mulai dari pengawasan akademis hingga klinis dengan fokus pada pengenalan dan peningkatan kemampuan mengajar fakultas. Langkah perencanaan pengawasan klinis meliputi pengumpulan data, menentukan prioritas pengawasan, menyusun rencana tindakan, menjadwalkan pengawasan, dan mengadakan rapat pengawasan. Temuan dari studi lapangan menunjukkan bahwa supervisi klinis dirancang untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran yang efektif melalui berbagai intervensi, seperti memberikan umpan balik, mendukung pemecahan masalah, membuka kinerja guru, dan membimbing perilaku profesional. Pelaksanaan supervisi klinis meliputi tahap perencanaan, pertemuan pendahuluan dan observasi dengan fokus mengidentifikasi permasalahan dalam proses pembelajaran..

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of school principals in improving teachers’ pedagogical competence in the digital era through a visionary and instructional leadership. Pedagogical competence is a fundamental foundation for professional educators, particularly in addressing learning dynamics in the digital age, which demands adaptive, innovative, and transformational skills. This research uses a case study with a qualitative method to explore the processes and strategies applied to enhance teachers’ pedagogical competence. The findings show that principals play a strategic role by implementing various techniques, such as educational technology training, ongoing supervision, digital infrastructure provision, and strengthening collaboration in professional learning communities. However, challenges like low digital literacy and resistance to change remain obstacles. The implications of this study highlight that the success of digital education transformation depends not only on technology but also on the quality of human resources, especially teachers, in managing learning professionally and reflectively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of transformational leadership in improving the quality of education in Islamic boarding schools. Transformational leadership emphasizes the leader's ability to inspire, motivate, and guide his followers to achieve their best potential. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with informants consisting of kiai, teachers, and students, and data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The results show that the application of the four dimensions of transformational leadership: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual consideration can improve students' learning motivation, discipline, creativity, critical thinking skills, and teacher professionalism. Additional strategies such as a collaborative learning culture and strengthening Islamic boarding school values also support the creation of holistic education. Despite challenges such as differences in student character and limited resources, transformational leadership has proven effective in improving the quality of education in Islamic boarding schools and can serve as a model for other Islamic boarding school managers.
