Abstract

Teacher parenting style refers to the approach or method teachers use to educate, guide, and treat children in school. Character formation in children is a crucial stage in their growth and development, involving various aspects such as thinking, moral knowledge, feelings, and moral behavior. Early childhood is a period where individuals undergo rapid growth and development. During this phase, children's brains absorb and assimilate various information without differentiating between right and wrong. It is during this period that children's physical, mental, and spiritual development begins to take shape. The purpose of this study is to examine the parenting styles applied by teachers in shaping the character of early childhood students. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method through a literature review. The results of the study indicate that a democratic parenting style is considered the most effective in fostering independence, responsibility, and initiative in children. It is important to note that synergy between teachers, parents, and a conducive learning environment plays a crucial role in optimizing the character development of early childhood students. Pembentukan karakter anak merupakan tahapan penting dalam pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak, hal ini juga penting untuk pembentukan karakter anak dan melibatkan berbagai aspek antara lain pemikiran, pengetahuan moral, perasaan dan berperilaku bermoral. Anak usia dini merupakan individu yang mengalami proses pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang sangat pesat. Pada usia tersebut, otak anak mampu menerima dan mengasimilasi berbagai informasi tanpa menilai mana yang benar atau salah. Inilah saat di mana perkembangan fisik, mental, dan spiritual anak mulai terbentuk.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji pola asuh yang diterapkan oleh guru dalam pembentukan karakter anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif melalui studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pola asuh demokratis dianggap paling efektif dalam membentuk karakter anak yang mandiri, bertanggung jawab, dan inisiatif. Hal yang perlu diperhatikan bahwa adanya sinergi antara guru dan orang tua serta lingkungan belajar yang kondusif memainkan peran penting dalam optimalisasi perkembangan karakter anak usia dini.Kata Kunci: pola asuh; guru; karakter anak; sinergi

Abstract

Students lack interest in learning and tend to be monotonous because they do not clearly understand the teacher's teaching methods. Therefore, it is necessary to apply the PAIKEM method to increase students' interest in learning with a more creative and in-depth approach. This research uses descriptive methods combined with quantitative methods. The purpose is to measure the importance of the contribution of Christian religious education learning with PAIKEM method to students' learning enjoyment at SMA Taruna Mandiri Pamulang. The results showed that the effect of PAK learning with PAIKEM method simultaneously contributed 56.0% to students' learning interest, while the remaining 44.0% was influenced by other variables that were not in this study.
