Abstract

This research aims to examine the strengthening of tolerance values through peace camp activities. The method used in this research is qualitative with an analytic descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through literature study and interviews with participants of the peace camp held in Salatiga city in March 2024. This study found that there are five values of religious tolerance contained in this activity, including respect for differences, the existence of open interfaith dialog, the emergence of cooperation in diversity, the existence of empathy and concern between religious communities, and peace education. These values can create an inclusive environment where religious people can practice their beliefs freely, but social harmony is maintained.

Abstract

Pendidikan moderasi beragama memegang peran penting dalam membentuk karakter generasi muda yang toleran dan inklusif. Artikel ini membahas urgensi pendidikan moderasi beragama dalam konteks Indonesia yang multicultural dan multireligius. Fokus utamanya adalah membangun generasi muda yang menghormati perbedaan keyakinan, menghilangkan stereotip negatif, dan mempromosikan sikap inklusif. Tantangan radikalisme, ekstremisme, dan intoleransi agama menekankan pentingnya memperkuat pendidikan moderasi beragama dalam kurikulum pendidikan. Implementasi pendidikan moderasi beragama memerlukan kerjasama antara guru, siswa, dan masyarakat untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang toleran. Strategi pendidikan moderasi beragama mencakup program pengembangan profesional bagi guru, dialog antaragama, dan kegiatan sosial berbasis keagamaan. Dengan pendekatan moderasi beragama, diharapkan generasi muda dapat tumbuh sebagai individu yang berakhlak mulia, berjiwa toleran, dan mampu berkontribusi positif dalam membangun masyarakat harmonis. Abstrak ini membahas peran dan tantangan pendidikan moderasi beragama serta upaya untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang inklusif dan mendukung perkembangan generasi muda yang toleran.
