Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of ergonomic exercises on blood pressure in hypertensive patients in the village of Setia Suka Maju Sirihit – Rihit. The research employed a One Group Pre-test – Post method using purposive sampling, with 10 respondents selected from a population of 50 who met the criteria. Data were collected using an ordinal scale and observational instruments. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test using SPSS indicated significance < 0.05 (p=0.00), signifying the influence of ergonomic exercises on lowering blood pressure. The conclusion of this study asserts the effectiveness of ergonomic exercises in reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients in Setia Suka Maju Sirihit – Rihit Village, Pahae Jae Subdistrict, North Tapanuli Regency in 2022.

Abstract

The service provided to women during pregnancy is ANC services. The aim of this ANC examination is to reduce the number of deaths and morbidity rates in pregnant women. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women with antenatal care visits at BPM Sukianti Kec. Sinaboi District. Rokan Hilir 2023. This type of research is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional research design. The population is a total sampling, namely all pregnant women in BPM Sukianti District. Sinaboi District. Rokan Hilir in 2023 as many as 30 people. The data analysis technique uses chi square. The results obtained in this study were mostly good knowledge with 18 people attending antenatal care visits (60%) and positive attitudes of pregnant women with 18 people completing antenatal care visits (60%). Based on the results of the chi square test, there is a relationship between pregnant women's knowledge and antenatal care visits with a P value = 0.002 < 0.05, there is a relationship between pregnant women's attitudes and antenatal care visits with a P value = 0.008 < 0.05. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women and antenatal care visits. It is recommended that pregnant women provide antenatal care services according to standards and in a complete manner so that they can reduce the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in Indonesia.

Abstract

Anemia in pregnant women is a problem both globally and in Indonesia. The prevalence of anemia in pregnant women worldwide is 41.8%, while the prevalence of pregnant women according to the 2018 Basic Health Research (RISKESDAS) is higher than the WHO prevalence at 48.9%. Community service activities carried out by lecturers and students from a university aim to provide education about the importance of iron consumption for pregnant women in Dusun 1, Tanjung Anom Village. Through problem identification, program planning, program implementation, and evaluation, an educational program including counseling, workshops, and distribution of informative materials is conducted. The evaluation results show a significant improvement in knowledge and practices of iron consumption among pregnant women. This activity is expected to contribute to reducing the incidence of anemia and improving the health of pregnant women in the area through collaboration between universities, healthcare professionals, and the community.
