Abstract

This research aims: 1) to analyze the leadership of the madrasa head at MTsN 1 Bima City, 2) to analyze the work ethic of teachers at MTsN 1 Bima City, and 3) to analyze the factors that encourage and inhibit teacher work ethic at MTsN 1 Bima City. This research is qualitative research (case study). The research instrument uses observation guidelines and interview guidelines. Data processing and analysis techniques are carried out through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and data verification. The results of the research show 1) The leadership of the Head of MTsN 1 Bima City is quite good because he upholds responsibility with full trust, 2) The work ethic of MTsN 1 Bima City teachers is well recommended, because they have displayed performance and various kinds of efforts made to achieve learning goals , 3) Supporting factors for work ethic (discipline, teacher's personality in carrying out their duties, example and firmness of the school principal. Inhibiting factors, it appears that there are still many teachers who teach normally, namely using the lecture method only, so that students' interest in studying seriously decreases.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the academic supervision of madrasah principals in improving the performance of teaching and learning activities at MTsN 1 Bima City, including teaching plans, learning processes, learning evaluations, and academic supervision techniques of madrasah principals. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method and data collection techniques are interviews and observation. The objects of this research are madrasa heads and teachers. The results show that teachers have implemented the madrasa head's supervision points in improving the teaching performance of teachers at MTsN 1 Bima City according to the character of the madrasa.

Abstract

The role of principle or leadership in madrasah is a very important element in the implementation of Madrasah-Based Management in the form of stages that must be taken in achieving the goals of Lil Alamin Rahmatan Islamic Education, so that it can be said that the curriculum is a major component of Islamic education, which is organized and presented scientifically and psychologically for educational goals at the level of Madrasah Tsanawiyah or Junior High School to foster a sense of tolerance, mutual respect, mutual trust, and mutual need. This study aims to obtain data on Madrasah Based Management, the principle of Madrasah Leadership, the relevance of the curriculum of the MTsN 1 Kota Bima academic year 2020-2021. This research was conducted using field studies. Data collection is done by observation, interviews, and documentation to get information about the problem under study. While the data analysis is conducted to provide a description and draw conclusions from it. Based on the above analysis, it can be concluded that the results of the study show that the role of Madrasah principle Leadership in implementating Madrasah-Based Management at MTsN 1 Kota Bima Cirebon is through process of discussion, modeling, and habituation.

Abstract

This study aimed to find a portrayal of the principal’s efforts to improve teachers’ performance at MTs 01 of Kepahiang. This study used a qualitative approach. The main sources were the principal and teachers. To obtain such a portrayal, the data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. After the data were collected, they were then reduced, presented, and discussed so as to find the desired conclusion. The conclusion of this study was that the principal as a manager must make efforts to do many ways in order that teachers could improve their performance so that the learning processes became more qualified. One of the ways was by giving motivation to teachers. Constraints faced by the principal in motivating teacher performance stemmed from the teachers themselves whose intrinsic motivation was still low and had implications for their abilities. There were still found some teachers who were less able to describe lesson plans and syllabus correctly. These teachers only carried out teaching tasks without being supported by careful planning.
