Abstract

Internet Hotspot networks generally use WEP/WPA/WPA2 security as user authentication so that they can login and connect to the network, but this authentication is stored on hotspot access point devices and is used for multi users so that admins cannot manage the network efficiently. Another authentication method can be using is a captative portal system that requires users to enter a username and password to use the hotspot service. Although the use of a captative portal is quite good, the use of passwords often experiences problems, namely users forget their passwords or passwords can be spread easily. For this reason, better authentication is needed which can reduce the risk of spreading login information so that it can reduce network load. so in this study we designed and implemented Hotspot Network Login Authentication Using a Mikrotik-Based QR Code by utilizing a user manager application that is already contained in the Mikrotik package and can be directly installed and run directly on the Mikrotik device without using an additional server. The system can be created by simply adding a Mikrotik routerboard RB951Ui-2HND with a built in Mikrotik access point as an access point for Hotspots and modifying the Mikrotik default login page by adding the HTML5 and Javascript Web-based QR Code feature. The test results show that the system is able to run as desired and is able to handle the given input and is able to handle user login exploits by giving error messages. SSL certificates can be generated using the Mikrotik certificate feature, even if these certificates are not publicly known.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi mendorong institusi pendidikan tinggi untuk menyediakan layanan cepat dan efisien, terutama dalam proses Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru (PMB). Di STIKES Al-Fatah Bengkulu, penyampaian informasi PMB masih dilakukan secara manual, sehingga kurang efektif dalam menangani pertanyaan berulang dari calon mahasiswa, khususnya menjelang penutupan pendaftaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan chatbot berbasis WhatsApp menggunakan Node.js dan pustaka whatsapp-web.js sebagai solusi otomatisasi layanan. Metode pengembangan menggunakan model Waterfall, mulai dari analisis kebutuhan, perancangan flowchart percakapan, implementasi sistem, hingga pengujian. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan chatbot dapat merespons pesan pengguna secara otomatis, memberikan informasi yang sesuai, serta mengelola status percakapan pengguna. Penggunaan WhatsApp sebagai platform dipilih karena sudah umum digunakan calon mahasiswa, sehingga mempermudah adopsi sistem. Sistem ini dinilai mampu meningkatkan efisiensi layanan informasi, mengurangi beban kerja admin kampus, dan dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut dengan integrasi database dan pemrosesan bahasa alami.

Abstract

Mail management in an agency or company is usually done by recording incoming and outgoing letters in an agenda book, as well as at Sekolah Tinggi Kesehatan Al-Fatah Bengkulu. But this method will require more and more agenda books and eventually accumulate in the file storage area and make it difficult when searching for letter data and files when needed for certain purposes. To solve this problem, research was carried out to develop a Web-based Mail Management Application at Sekolah Tinggi Kesehatan Al-Fatah Bengkulu. The application was successfully created using a web-based system using the MySql database so that it can be accessed from all computer networks at the Sekolah Tinggi Kesehatan Al-Fatah Bengkulu. This application can facilitate the management of incoming and dispositional letters, outgoing letters and decrees and can speed up the process of documentation and searching for archive data and letter files because documents can be viewed in pdf format.
