Abstract

Abstract This research aims to find out the background to the implementation of the 1971 General Election and the dominance of Golongan Karya in the 1971 General Election as well as the problems of Pseudo Democracy that accompanied it. This research examines three problems: (1) What was the background to the implementation of the 1971 General Election?, (2) What was the dominance of the Karya Group in the 1971 General Election?, (3) What was the impact of the Golongan Karya victory in the 1971 General Election? To answer this problem, researchers used historical research methods. Historical research has five stages, namely: topic selection, heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. The conclusion of this research is that Golkar's victory was achieved through a political strategy to mobilize public support for Golkar. The form of pseudo democracy in the 1971 Election can be seen from several factors that influenced the general election.Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari latar belakang pelaksanaan Pemilihan Umum 1971 dan dominasi Golongan Karya pada Pemilihan Umum 1971 serta permasalahan Pseudo Democracy yang menyertainya. Penelitian ini mengkaji tiga permasalahan: (1) Bagaimana latar belakang pelaksanaan Pemilihan Umum 1971?, (2) Bagaimana dominasi Golongan Karya dalam Pemilihan Umum 1971?, (3) Bagaimana dampak kemenangan Golongan Karya dalam Pemilihan Umum 1971?. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah. Penelitian sejarah mempunyai lima tahap, yaitu: pemilihan topik, heuristik, verifikasi, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah, kemenangan Golkar ini diperoleh melalui strategi politik untuk memobilisasi dukungan suara masyarakat kepada Golkar. Bentuk pseudo democracy dalam Pemilu 1971 dapat dilihat dari beberapa factor yang mempengaruhi pemilihan umum tersebut.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the perspectives of generation z students on aspects of multiculturalism in history learning, related to the importance of learning history as a means of cultivating multiculturalism that serves to maintain the integrity and unity of the pluralistic Indonesian nation. The research method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach, with 20 z-generation history education study program students as informants. Data collection was done through in-depth interviews, observation, and document review. The results showed that informants have a positive view of the application of multiculturalism in history learning, informants are also optimistic about applying multiculturalism in history learning, although there are shortcomings and obstacles in applying it due to time constraints and multiculturalism content in history learning materials. The conclusion is that z-generation students have a positive perspective and are optimistic about the application of multiculturalism in history learning, as well as understanding the limitations of its application and feel the need to make innovations in its application.
