Abstract

This study aims to I Know the learning outcomes and the level of student activity in learning to write descriptions at SDN Tlogosari Kulon 02 before implementing Think Pair Share 2 Knowing the learning outcomes and the level of student activity in learning to write descriptions at SDN Tlogosari Kulon 02 after implementing Think Pair Share. This research method uses classroom action research, research subjects are 28 students of SDN Tlogosari Kulon 02 Year 2022/2023. The object of this research is the ability to write descriptions of students in grade 2 semester 1 of SDN Tlogosan Kulon 02. Data on the ability to write descriptions were collected through objective tests which were analyzed descriptively qualitative. The results showed that the application of the Think Pair Share learning method could improve student learning outcomes and activeness in writing descriptions. In the initial reflection, the average percentage of learning outcomes at the beginning was 58.92% in the poor category, while the average percentage of students' activeness in writing descriptions only reached 60.77%. After the first cycle, the learning outcomes of writing descriptions averaged 73.21% with enough category, and the average percentage of students' activeness in writing descriptions showed an increase of 76.48% And at the end of cycle 2 learning outcomes writing descriptions the average percentage reaches 90.53% with good categories, and the average activeness in writing student descriptions reaches 80.77%.
