Abstract

Indonesia's textile industry, which includes the production of fibers, yarns, fabrics, and clothing, has long been the backbone of the country's economy, contributing jobs and foreign exchange through exports. In its heyday in the 1980s, the industry was thriving, but in recent decades, it has faced significant setbacks due to inefficient management, global competition and unfavorable trade policies. Many textile factories have gone out of business, including PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk (Sritex), which despite nearly 50 years of experience, is now debt-ridden and struggling to survive. This study goal is to forecast a company’s financial health. The method used in this study uses data as its data source and is descriptive quantitative in nature. The findings indicated that the company could face financial difficulties, because in the 2021-2023 range the company experienced losses and experienced an increase in debt because it could not pay debts at maturity.

Abstract

This investigation seeks to examine the impact of liquidity and solvency on profitability in retailing sub-sector companies. Liquidity is gauged through the Current Ratio (CR) ratio while solvency uses Debt to Equity Ratio (DER). Profitability is gauged using Return on Equity (ROE). The investigation was executed utilizing a case study method using financial statements to serve as a source of secondary data. The data was examined using multiple linear regression methods to assess the connection involving the independent variables (liquidity and solvency) and the dependent variable (profitability). The findings of this investigation suggest that liquidity does not possess a significant outcome on profitability, while solvency possesses a positive and significant outcome. This research highlights the significance of good liquidity and solvency management in improving the corporation’s financial achievement. The findings are anticipated to be a reference for companies in formulating more effective financial strategies, as well as contributing to further research in the same field.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of non-performing loans, loan-to-deposit ratio, operating cost-to-operating income, and net interest margin on the share prices of traditional financial institutions listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2020–2024. A quantitative methodology was used, drawing on secondary data from the market capitalization-based financial statements of the top ten banks. The sample was selected through purposive sampling, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that, simultaneously, non-performing loans, loan-to-deposit ratio, operating cost-to-operating income, and net interest margin have a statistically significant influence on banking stock prices. However, when assessed individually, only the BOPO variable exhibits a significant and negative effect. This indicates that higher operational inefficiency tends to reduce investor interest and negatively impact stock valuation in the banking sector. In contrast, the NPL, LDR, and NIM variables, although aligned with theoretical expectations, did not demonstrate statistically significant effects within the model. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.240, meaning that approximately 24% of the variation in stock prices can be explained by the four independent variables, while the remaining 76% may be attributed to other external or internal factors not captured in the model. These findings underscore the critical role of operational efficiency as reflected by the BOPO ratio, particularly during periods of economic uncertainty such as the post-pandemic era. The study offers useful insights for investors, banking management, and policymakers in making strategic financial decisions based on fundamental performance indicators.
