ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh current ratio, debt to equity ratio, debt to assets ratio, return on assets, dan total assets turnover terhadap financial distress. Populasi dalam penelitian ini merupakan perusahaan sub sektor transportasi yang terdaftar dalam Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2020Q1-2022Q4. Sampel penelitian sejumlah 10 perusahaan yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa current ratio dan return on asset berpengaruh negatif terhadap financial distress serta debt to assets ratio dan total assets turnover berpengaruh positif terhadap financial distress. Sedangkan rasio leverage yang diproksikan dengan debt to equity ratio tidak berpengaruh terhadap financial distress. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah perusahaan transportasi perlu meningkatkan dan mengutamakan pembayaran utang dengan bunga tinggi atau jangka waktu pendek pendapatan untuk mengurangi rasio utang terhadap aset serta perusahaan perlu meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dengan menggunakan sumber dayanya secara lebih efisien.ABSTRACTThis research aims to examine the influence of the current ratio, debt to equity ratio, debt to assets ratio, return on assets, and total assets turnover on financial distress. The population in this study are transportation sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) for the 2020Q1-2022Q4 period. The research sample was 10 companies selected using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis uses regression analysis. The research results show that the current ratio and return on assets have a negative effect on financial distress and the debt to assets ratio and total assets turnover have a positive effect on financial distress. Meanwhile, the leverage ratio proxied by the debt to equity ratio has no effect on financial distress. The implication of this research is that transportation companies need to increase and prioritize debt payments with high interest or short term income to reduce the debt to asset ratio and companies need to increase operational efficiency by using their resources more efficiently.
