Abstract

Illegal online investments have become a serious issue in the modern financial world, affecting communities and causing financial instability. This study examines the restorative justice approach in law enforcement against perpetrators of illegal online investments, with a focus on empowering victims, rehabilitating wrongdoers, and recovering losses incurred by these illicit investment schemes using normative legal research methods. The research findings demonstrate that the restorative justice approach can provide more effective solutions to address illegal online investments. By empowering victims, they can actively participate in the law enforcement process, gaining a better understanding of fraudulent schemes and how to prevent them in the future. Second, rehabilitating wrongdoers becomes a crucial component of restorative justice. By identifying the causes and factors that drive individuals to engage in illegal online investment schemes, the legal system can offer opportunities for them to learn from their mistakes, change their behavior, and undergo rehabilitation. This can help reduce the risk of these individuals getting involved in illegal activities again in the future. Third, within the context of restorative justice, compensation and restitution take center stage. Material and moral restitution to victims can restore a sense of justice and rebuild public trust in the legal system. The restorative justice approach in enforcing the law against illegal online investment perpetrators offers solutions centered around recovery, victim empowerment, wrongdoer rehabilitation, and compensation for victims. In the effort to combat illegal online investments, restorative justice can serve as an effective tool to bring about justice and rectify the losses caused by these unlawful practices. This can be achieved through collaboration between the government, financial institutions, and the community. Thus, the restorative justice approach can make a significant contribution to the fight against illegal online investments and create a safer and fairer financial environment.

Abstract

This research examines the dynamics of the 1955 General Election in Indonesia and Muhammad al-Ghazali’s perspective on electoral systems in the context of the modern state. The 1955 election marked a significant milestone in Indonesia’s democratic developm ent, applying a proportional electoral system with high voter participation. It successfully established an inclusive, accountable, and integrity-based electoral legal framework. Meanwhile, al-Ghazali’s thought highlights that democratic principles such as shura (consultation), justice, and public participation are compatible with Islamic values. Modern elections are viewed as a practical realization of shura in complex societies where direct deliberation is no longer feasible. The academic contribution of this study lies in affirming that democratic electoral systems can be grounded in Islamic ethical values, and that the historical experience of the 1955 election offers a relevant model for developing progressive electoral regulations. This research enriches the discourse on Islamic political thought and Indonesian electoral law within the context of inclusive and ethical democracy

Abstract

Ippu Padang plant (Ammannia octandra L.f.) belongs to the family of Lythraceae, a hardy plant that can grow to a height of 50 cm. According to previous research, Ippu Padang leaves contain glycosides, alkaloids, flavonoids and tannins. The presence of alkaloid compounds, flavonoids and tannins is predicted to have potential as an antifungal agent against fungi and antibacterial agent. This research used an experimental method. The steps included collecting plant material, plant identification, processing plants into Simplicia powder, phytochemical screening of Simplicia powder, extracting Simplicia by maceration method using ethanol solvent, antifungal and antibacterial activity test using agar diffusion method and determination of inhibition diameter of leaf ethanol extract. The results of phytochemical screening showed that ippu Padang leaves contained secondary metabolites, namely alkaloids, flavonoids, glycosides, anthraquinone glycosides, tannins, saponins and steroids. The results also revealed that the concentration with the largest inhibitory diameter was 400 mg/ml, namely 12.4 mm against the Candida albicans, 17.46 mm against the Dermacoccus nishinomiyaensis bacteria, 18.53 mm against the Micrococcus luteus bacteria, 19.38 mm against the Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria, and 17.71 mm against Staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria. It was concluded that the ethanol extract of ippu Padang leaves could inhibit the growth of the Candida albicans, the bacteria Dermacoccus nishinomiyaensis, Micrococcus luteus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus epidermidis.
