Abstract

The purpose of writing the article is to discuss the role of women in the nation’s struggle during the colonial period before and after the existence of educational institutions. The study uses the library research method with data sources from various existing papers. Data analysis uses descriptive qualitative. Before there was ethical politics in the field of education, women’s struggles were carried out through their involvement in various wars or resistance against colonialists. Women struggle to hold weapons in regional wars. Educational institutions that were founded as a policy of retribution provide women with the opportunity to fight through education and organization. Efforts to spread the spirit of nationalism and struggle are carried out through organizations and writing in the mass media.

Abstract

History is not only about studying the past, but also about how we study the past and use it as a guide for living in the present. The essence of history is past events reconstructed in the present to serve as provisions for life in the future. The VSTP rebellion in Semarang in 1923 is an interesting event to be reconstructed and packaged in historical learning in accordance with current developments. Learning that does not keep up with the times will only make students unable to adapt to new environments that may be present when times change. This material is important because this event is one of the important events during the movement that students must know. The aim of this research is to share knowledge information with history teachers so that they can develop learning materials that suit the needs and characteristics of students to achieve previously determined learning objectives. In this research, the researcher used a descriptive type of library research, where this method uses documents as research sources that are collected and analyzed, so that they become research data. The results that the researchers got were that VSTP was an organization of railway workers who rebelled against the railway companies during the Dutch East Indies together with ISDV because their rights as workers were not fulfilled and were looked down upon. From this incident, teachers can develop history learning materials in the form of handouts, modules, LKPD and comics packaged electronically. However, teachers are not limited to these learning materials alone, but can develop other learning materials according to students' needs and characteristics. It is hoped that the development of learning materials can help teachers in the learning process in class, and can make students more enthusiastic about learning history.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the Heroes Monument which was a Surabaya city hall during the Dutch East Indies colonial period and the educational values that can be taken from this. The research method used is a qualitative method. By using this method, the result was that the Heroes' Monument which was inaugurated by Soekarno on the 6th anniversary of Heroes' Day was a city square during the Dutch East Indies era which had been very well laid out. To the north of the square is the city park and the regent's office, to the east is the governor's office, to the south is the raad van justitie, and to the west is the Surapringgo Mosque. There are five educational values that can be taken from historical facts, namely religious values, historical thinking values, honesty values, and curiosity values.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengupas Tugu Pahlawan yang merupakan alun-alun Surabaya pada masa kolonial Hindia Belanda dan nilai-nilai Pendidikan yang dapat di ambil dari hal tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Dengan menggunakan metode tersebut, di dapatkan hasil bahwa Tugu Pahlawan yang diresmikan Soekarno pada peringatan hari pahlawan ke-6 adalah alun-alun kota pada masa Hindia Belanda yang telah diatur tata letaknya dengan sangat baik. Sebelah utara alun-alun tersebut terdapat taman kota dan kantor bupati, sebelah timur terdapat gouverneurs kantoor, sebelah selatan terdapat raad van justitie, dan sebelah barat terdapat Masjid Surapringgo. Nilai-nilai edukasi yang dapat di ambil dari fakta sejarah tersebut ada lima yakni nilai religius, nilai berpikir historis, nilai kejujuran, dan nilai rasa ingin tahu.

Abstract

Enhancing the innovative competencies of vocational high school history teachers through videography training This videography training was conducted to train history teachers at vocational schools throughout the Malang Regency to be able to develop innovative history learning media in the form of videography. One of the indicators of an innovative teacher is being able to develop their own learning media according to the needs and characteristics of students in the class. A common problem in learning history in vocational schools is that students are less interested in history lessons because they are boring and not a subject that is appropriate for their field. One of the causes of student boredom is the lack of creativity and innovation of teachers in using learning media. So, it is necessary to conduct training to improve teacher competence in developing innovative learning media, namely videography. This training is realized in three stages, namely pre-activities, core activities and post-activities. The implementation of this history videography training was carried out for two days, namely on July 23, 2024, online using Zoom software and on July 25, 2024, offline at the Museology Laboratory, Department of History, State University of Malang. The results of the training, firstly showed that history teachers of vocational schools throughout Malang Regency assessed that the videography training succeeded in improving their competence with the results of the evaluation questionnaire of 80-93 percent, secondly the output of the videography project was able to be completed by the participants so that it can be used as an innovative learning media. With this training, it is hoped that history educators will not only teach but can also develop historical videos that can be used as a medium for learning history in the classroom. Pelatihan videografi ini dilakukan untuk melatih guru-guru sejarah SMK se-Kabupaten Malang agar dapat mengembangkan media pembelajaran sejarah yang inovatif dalam bentuk videografi. Karena salah satu indikator guru yang inovatif yaitu mampu mengembangkan sendiri media pembelajaranya sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan karakteristik peserta didik di kelas. Problematika umum dalam pembelajaran sejarah di SMK adalah siswa kurang tertarik dengan pelajaran sejarah karena membosankan dan bukan sebagai mata pelajaran yang sesuai di bidang mereka. Salah satu penyebab kebosanan siswa karena kurang kreatif dan inovatifnya guru dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran. Sehingga perlu dilakukan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi Guru dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang inovatif, yaitu videografi. Pelatihan ini direalisasikan dengan tiga tahap yakni pra kegiatan, kegiatan inti dan pasca kegiatan. Pelaksanaan pelatihan videografi sejarah ini dilaksanakan selama dua hari yakni pada 23 Juli 2024 secara daring menggunakan software Zoom dan pada 25 Juli 2024 secara luring di Laboratorium Museologi Departemen Sejarah, Universitas Negeri Malang. Hasil pelatihan, yang pertama menunjukkan bahwa para guru sejarah SMK se-Kabupaten Malang menilai pelatihan videografi berhasil meningkatkan kompetensinya dengan hasil angket evaluasi 80-93 persen, kedua ouput project videografi mampu diselesaikan oleh para peserta sehingga dapat dijadikan media pembelajaran yang inovatif. Dengan pelatihan ini diharapkan para pendidik sejarah tidak hanya sekadar mengajar saja, melainkan dapat mengembangkan video sejarah yang dapat digunakan untuk media pembelajaran sejarah di kelas.
