Abstract

The study conducted at PT. Global Pratama Powerindo reveals that job satisfaction plays a crucial role in enhancing employee performance. However, the physical work environment, when considered independently, does not significantly impact employee performance, as indicated by non-significant statistical results. Interestingly, when analyzing the combined influence of job satisfaction and the physical work environment, a noteworthy impact on employee performance is observed. The F-test results demonstrate that the amalgamation of these factors collectively contributes significantly to enhancing employee performance. Approximately 58% of the variability in employee performance can be explained by job satisfaction and the physical work environment, as indicated by the coefficient of determination (R2) test. The remaining 42% of variations may be influenced by unexamined factors. The research highlights the reliability of the measurement instruments used, ensuring the credibility of the findings. The practical implications suggest that PT. Global Pratama Powerindo's management can improve policies and strategies by focusing on optimizing job satisfaction and the physical work environment to elevate employee performance. Despite valuable insights, the study acknowledges limitations, including a restricted sample size and a narrow industry sector focus, encouraging future research with broader samples and diverse industry involvement. Overall, the research contributes significantly to understanding the dynamics influencing employee performance in the renewable energy sector.

Abstract

Based on the results of the teacher performance evaluation in 2022 and 2023, there has been a decline in teacher performance, suboptimal physical work environment conditions, and extra workloads that often extend beyond working hours. This study aims to analyze the influence of work-life balance and physical work environment on the performance of Civil Servant Teachers (ASN) at SMP NSF Cimahi. The research uses a quantitative approach with a census method, employing a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The research population includes 36 ASN teachers for the independent variable and 1 principal for the dependent variable. The results of the descriptive analysis show that the work-life balance of ASN teachers falls within the balanced criteria, with the sub-variable of balance being the highest value. The physical work environment falls into the good category, with the sub-variable of workplace safety being the highest value. The overall performance of teachers falls within the good criteria, with the highest sub-variable being social competence. The results of multiple linear regression show that work-life balance and physical work environment simultaneously influence the performance of ASN teachers at SMP NSF Cimahi with a high or strong level of impact. This research proves that a good work-life balance and a conducive physical work environment significantly contribute to the improvement of teacher performance at SMP NSF Cimahi. This research provides important contributions in supporting the development of policies to improve work-life balance and physical work environments to enhance teacher performance, which ultimately contributes to the quality of education.

Abstract

One of the main components of educational success in schools is teacher performance. However, at XYZ Vocational High School, many teachers still have low performance. This research design is based on a quantitative approach with a research population of 46 permanent teachers. This study focuses on testing the interaction of discipline coaching and work motivation variables in determining teacher performance with assessments carried out partially and simultaneous. Instruments in the form of observation, interviews, and questionnaires were used to collect research data, while testing was carried out through a multiple linear regression analysis model along with a coefficient of determination processed using SPSS software version 27. From the processing results, it is known that discipline coaching plays a positive role in improving performance and performance achievement increases along with the presence of directional work motivation, and the results of simultaneous analysis show that the contribution of discipline coaching and teacher performance is significantly influenced by the presence of work motivation which is tested simultaneously.
